Sounds fab. Might try it in crochet as I think turning the needles around and around might get a bit irritating! Just as long as the sticky out bits of yarn continue to do so.0 -

Hello all,
well I obviously missed my vocation - I should have been a weather forecasterbecause we woke up to snow this morning. Knew it wasn`t far away.
I`ve been a woman on a mission today. Decided to cook up some swede yesterday in the pressure cooker as I like it well boiled, nice and orangey looking, and intended having some with a wee haggis I have in the fridge and putting the rest in the freezer for another day. However I forgot about it - yep you`ve guessed it - burned onto the bottom of the pan --cremated in fact. So I have been trying to rescue the pan. Soaking and scrubbing alternately and have just about managed to save it. Couldn`t do without my pressure cooker, saves me so much time when I`m in a hurry. ( Usually when I`ve been sidetracked by woolly things and not realised it`s feeding time.)
Not much in the way of charity stuff being done here at the mo`. Too busy with little J`s cardi - he`s growing so fast it might be too wee by the time I get it finished - and Christmas things.
Going to put the fire on later I think. Sun was out for a little while not long ago so I went out to the shed to get some kindling, no coat, only to find DS had been `tidying` the shed and everything was just inside the door blocking the entrance meaning I couldn`t get in. All of a sudden it got dark and HUGE hailstones started attacking me -ouch- so me and the daft dogs had to scramble over stuff to shelter in the shed till they went off again and then slipped and slithered back to the house. Brrrr, chilly indeed.
Think the `woolly bus`had better start picking up passengers and heading South to warmer climes - get the kettle on Chalky, we`re coming to invade you :rotfl:.
Off for a cuppa and the knitting for a wee while until it`s `taxi time` again, picking up DD and JJ. Wish she would hurry up and learn to drive.
Keep warm and safe.

just finished this afternoon for the great niece, only about a dozen other wee jobs in the pile that need to be completed before the weekend NOT ONE a charity number, although I am still managing a couple of rows on the aran jumper for LH - going slowly. I see you are all having some really cold weather, apart from Chalky who no doubt was on the top terrace in the sunshine BAH HUMBUG, love those luvvies, they are so cheery. Will go and get something to eat as I feel quite cold and that's usually the first sign of me being hungry. Love and cuddles to you all, Elaine if you go out the door you need a JACKET, you should know that one by now!
xx

isom, hope the package turns up soon, and that your tummy is soon feeling better too
chalky love the toys with the doors for their mouths
jean, well done on the hello kitty, i started one, but its still a wip with lots of other things
had a bad night with joshua tonight, seems every wednesday he is in a foul mood, and for no apparent reason, things got quite out of hand again, and the police were involved again, i was so embarrassed and so ashamed by my sons behaviour, he was actually swearing at the police, and being aggressive to them, they threatened to take him to the cells if he carried on. they told him as he had been bathed and eaten his tea, he had to go straight to bed,(it was only 7pm), or else he was going to the station with them. the female officer has been to our house before, and has again said she will write to social worker, which will be a total waste of time, but at least all is quiet and calm now.
i'll be having an early night tonight, am so looking forward to going to the knit and stitch show at harrogate tommorrow, there are 9 of us going so it'll be a fun day out, somet i not had for a while
hugs all

ISOM don't give up hope just yet, I posted two at the same time, one got there in 6 days the second took just over three weeks.....seems it "fell off a table" somewhere along the line, fingers crossed that it arrives.
Shaz, you mustn't feel guilt at calling the police out, it is the only way to deal with the situation. As it seems to be the same day every time there is a strong suspicion in my mind that "something" or "someone" is at the root of it all....perhaps worth seeing if the food served on a Wednesday has some sort of additive - or have I lost the plot completely? You have a smashing day in Harrogate tomorrow, spend some for me while you are at it too. Oh if I was you I'd leave the kitty in the pile - it was a sausage, or was that because of my big fingers?
Thank you all for the lovely things you said about kitty - still think her whiskeries are all off skew whiff. DH demanding time on pooter tonight - well course he can - he just might want to order me some pressies for December so I shall scoot off now and see you all in the morning - well that's the hope.
Chalky I thought they were bonkers PEEPS - didn't strike me as animals ISOM. perhaps its the blue ish colour - reminded me of smurfs.
Oh last email from Laura at the weekend, her mum is continuing to recuperate, Laura is doing the chicken without the head impersonation and mostly going round in circles! Sorry I did mean to let you all know and just got bogged down with STUFF - which seems to happen a lot at this time of the year. Nighty Night and I hope you are all tucked up warm and snuggley.

jean, hope hubby orders you something nice, and dont worry i'll buy enough stash for all of us lol,
i dont think food is at the route of josh's problems, as school lunches are home cooked food and not junk, part of healthy schools campaign.
part of me thinks its the outdoor education lesson, where they arnt as closly supervised, and hes been trying funny cigarettes from his peers, maybe i'm totally off track but some kids that are there do smoke.
anyways really time for my bed
goodnight all
