you can really go off a person you know! In contrast I have just crossed "the bridge" in gale force winds and thrashing rain as went to rescue mum who twisted her ankle getting off a bus...shes safely homa dn madam puss cat is sitting with us feeling very neglected this week! Did a bit of her blanket while babysotting and gave Ferg his blanket - he had great fun jumping on the crunchy paper and did a bit of peekaboo with his blanket which was very sweet. I hope when he's older both he and kessie will love their blankets - love in every stitch! Off to have a go at my noro babette and chill a bit.
Pippa hope you had a lovely day!

Been to the market in the village and first batch of tomato soup is on.
Also managed to but a really cheery apron for 2 Euros for a granny on Loving hands. They are 2 Euros each so I am going to buy 1 a week for the parcel I send off at Christmas

    Part of the Furniture
    Afternoon all,
It was lovely and sunny earlier but coming and going now, and still very cold and windy.
I finished a sailors hat last night and started on some squares for L/H Kenya appeal, I am doing a lap rug for one of the grannies

Thanks for your birthday wishes, I had a lovely day after shopping we went to DS2/DIL and DGS for tea, we were told to get there after 5, thought it was odd as they usually say come anytime.
Anyway it was soon clear, DGS gave me a bunch of flowers and a key with a ribbon attached, DS said go outside, and when I did:eek: ...well I was stunned, there was the car of my dreams with a big bow of ribbon stuck on the headlight sitting on the drive.....it was'nt there when we got there he had hidden it round the corner... did I cry too darn right I did.

DS had been working on it for months at his workshop, he had taken it in PX and thought it would be just right for me and exactly what I have been talking about and saving up for, for goodness knows how long. So when it came up DS /DIL decided it was just right for my birthday present.

So it was a perfect day, and I am so lucky to have such a lovely family. I will never forget this birthday, as OH said it is a milestone so it should be memorable.

I am off before I start blubbering again :o

  • F1 - I think last posting date to make sure parcels get there in time for Christmas is something like the 14th December.....I am working on the 10th as cut off at the moment....
