Good morning to one and all --- lots of gentle thoughts and a big hug to everyone
PSSO I think when times are a little sad it is wonderful to see a baby as everything is so new, fresh and exciting -- with only the promise of life to come so your picture of little J was just perfect--- he is so handsome and has grown so much xx

Well Pippa is right in our minds and suitcases we are ready for our trip -- but this weekend life is going on as normal and very busy. Mr C's birthday ,with DS and DDIL visiting -- they are in the midst of moving so great excitement. Buster is still with us and keeping us fully occupied and we have got to clear fridges etc etc this year cos DD2 is travelling--- all well with her ---- she wants a Roast!!!

So my Craft Corner is packed away by my chair in the lounge-- it looks so tidy !! But I did get the dishcloth cooton out last night to make a little welcome home present for DD1 and her partner -- they have had such a terrible time-- such a shame ! Still these things are sent to try us.

So tomorrow its clean through, take Buster home -- which will be sad as we have to leave him at their house and a friend is staying over 1 night til they return so we wont see them. Then the train to Taunton where we stay 1 night with a friend then fly out on Tues morning. So all a bit hectic here.

Have lovely Sundays everyone and lots of love x

HI everyone. Internet probs here - again! It's taken me most of the morning to get it sorted out but I managed to without having to call the helpline!

Elaine - Jayden is absolutely gorgeous, isn't he? If I was there with you I would be trying to sneak him into my handbag to bring him home with me, he's truly truly scrumptious!

Chalky - and breathe! Sounds very hectic there so I hope all your plans go smoothly and that you have a safe trip. Hope things are looking up for DD1 and her partner, too.

Pippa - hope you are managing to take a break.

Well, so far, in between wrestling with the internet, today has been spent washing out yet more plastering buckets; DH reckons I shall miss doing that when the plastering's all done, but I've assured him I won't! All I'm waiting for is the day when I can take the 'after' photos!

It's been a bit damp and dreary these last few days but today is better and the sun has even put in an appearance. The forecast for next week is for very cold conditions with temperatures at night below freezing - oh, nice!

We had a great morning at the farm yesterday and spent far more than we should have done on meat, but my freezer is well stocked now. I've just cooked up a gammon hock and the meat is amazing. The people who run the farm are really nice and there's always a cup of coffee on the go - we were there over two hours. They are having a farmers' market and Christmas Fayre there on the 20th, so DH and I will be helping with that. We're really looking forward to it. They are busy turning a barn into a cafe which they hope to open regularly. Our local English book lady is starting up a book club there, too, so there's much to look forward to. They are also going to start off some raised beds in one of their fields for disabled people to work on, and one part will be planted with scented plants for the blind - it's a really exciting project and we have offered our help with that. It's something that we will both enjoy, it will help make life better for others, and it will make a refreshing change from working on the house all the time. I will keep you up to date on progress! Oh, best of all yesterday was meeting nine tiny black piglets and one very big very contented sow! Shame I forgot my camera, though, but I will take it next time. There's another sow due to give birth any day now, too. I'm going to really enjoy a bit of life on a farm!

Anyway, off to wash out another bucket!

Currently waiting for Mbna to answer the phone to see if I can get shot of my yukky barclaycard for a low life of balance...some banks I have developed almost a hatred for due to carp customer service and general incompetence - barclays being the no 1! and breathe....Just strapped myself up in readyness for noro crocheting! its gorgeous wool but does get sore with the tension pull iykwim! Apparently it softens when washed! Some gorgeous cols!
Sorry they answered! All sorted and done my snowball so off I chug again...
Had a lovely lunch with a friend today and then (surprise surprise!) a snooze so now settling down with the wooly stuff. Hope people are all ok! Big hugs for those that need them!

    Morning all,
It's a dreadful day today rain, wind, really cold and dull just the day when you don't want to go out.

We had a lovely day yesterday DS2/DIL and DGS came over for lunch, so a quick trifle was done and shoved in the fridge, mainly for DS and DGS they both love it, but then the little fellow will eat anything....except sprouts, DS2 calls them devils food he cant stand them either:rotfl:

Little fellow and me spent a happy time in the garden sweeping up the leaves and tidying up, he loves being outside in his wellies and all over suit. Then it was time for a sleep so up he went and rolled himself up in one of the ripple blankets, he just loves them, I have promised I will do him one next....ooo thats an idea for today sort out some wool for it.....

Elaine - what a handsome little munchkin and so stylish, ooo I would love to give him a cuddle, ahhh I love little one's :A
kathy - a break what's that then??? I'm hoping all this running around will lose me a few pounds :rotfl:Had a look at your b**g yesterday and the pics of the trees are gorgeous,

Last night I finished the Mobius I was doing and then did a few more squares for the granny blanket for L/H, I have been using the Jan Eaton crochet blocks book, I also found her knitted squares one as well, forgotten I'd got that.

We need to go shopping for Mum as well as us but looking outside I think we may leave it a bit.....it is persisting down might slow down later.

I sure have rambled on today :o sorry

    Hi everyone.

Chalky - safe trip back to Spain. I hope the weather there is better than here; we're sharing ours with the UK - it's blowing a gale and pouring with rain AND I've just been outside washing out the plastering buckets in DH's wellies (size 11s and I'm a 4 so I felt like a clown!), his huge waterproof and some Marigolds (not his!). I really need to go out later to pick up the spare part he's ordered for his van which should have been in on Friday but will, apparently, be in today - if this weather keeps up I shall leave it until tomorrow; we have everything else we need so it's not worth getting blown about for one thing which can wait.

Pippa - thanks for your kind words about my blog. I took the photos a week ago today and the weather was gorgeous; I can't believe how bad it is today!

Well, having just braved the elements, I think it's time for a cuppa!

I hope everyone is coping with the weather over there.

(((Hugs))) to all those who are anxious, poorly, or who would just like one.
