Quick catch up as I try sorting all the responses for the Santa thingie...still time to get involved, just pm me!

Busy here at the moment, one day I will learn to say no and stop volunteering myself for stuff......had Parents Evening for Ds (one proud Mummy...he's one of the top 5 in his year and now on the G&T Register) and i found myself asking if i could go on forthcoming school trip as a helper (in my capacity as a school govenor you see) and then, volunteering to help with reading one afternoon a week!! I knew i should have been a teacher.

Stuff to do for all the ravelry things as well, but have time to sort them, and then suddenlt its november....where has the yhear gone??

Ah weel i hear bed calling.

Hugs tp everyone, and remember - still time to join in (to the 30th), so if you're wondering what then pm me...

Tootifrooti - it's sad that you are not able to fly, but are you allowed to sail? The ferries from the UK to France are brilliant these days and, once you are in France, you can get to most of the rest of Europe by car, so you could still go abroad.

Things here are progressing slowly but surely.

I can't wait to get DH out of the kitchen :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

mioliere I had my little kitchen done last year and had to live and cope out of the front room - what a nightmare so I know how you feel - but its worth it - just you wait (((hugs)))
its a lovely thought but I would need to get to the ferry - I am in Scotland - I could do the ferry at a push - I have a very low immune system and have to keep away from groups of people for risk of infection - so public transport is really a no-no - plus I need someone to travel with me - not impossible but it would mean a lot of travelling by car which would tire me out and the person driving would need to be able to be available/away from home for a good while - i couldnt afford to pay anyone for that length of time.
Pippa S what a lovely person you are - I will pay your for the wool and the postage if you are sure you wont use it - thank you. xx can I ask you what you do for the cat blankets - I have done 1 already and have started another but wondered if there was another pattern i could try too.
Chalky I have lists and list of lists and then lists of lists that need to be amalgamated with other lists............. but my [STRIKE]excuse[/STRIKE] reason is that my memory is being affected by my illness. medication and age but mostly the first 2 of course:p but actually it works and someone actually tolf me they found computer lists sooooooooooooo much better - i like pen and paper myself! But you will certainly need a huge list for planning that trip - how wonderful for you - are you telling your DD or keeping it as a surprise for now?

We think we must do these things whilst we are in good health. Losing my brother when he was 54 made me think that we really do have 1 life and that we must do things
I share the 'LETS JUST LIVE FOR TODAY" attitude, cram in as much as you possibly can while you can, we never know what is just around the corner for us.
these posts from chalky and roamin are so true - grab what you can when you can - live each day to the best of your ability. I am 54 tomorrow and may not see 55 I dont know - I have cancer which can no longer be treated and an associated muscle disease Myasthenia Gravis, as well as a few other things - I have loads of things that i will never be able to do and wish I had so dont put things off ladies - go and live your lives. xx

f1 widow sorry to see you are not feeling well - hope it passes soon (((hugs)))
Purple teddy Bear you sound like a wonderful parent getting involved in all the school things - well done to you:T

ok its way past my bedtime
    see you tomorrow

Happy Birthday, Tootifrooti! :bdaycake::bdaycake: Hope you have a wonderful day!

I am so sorry that travel is difficult for you; it must cause you a lot of sadness.

PTB - thanks for the pm. I will try and get my response to you today! What a lot of hard work you are putting into this, especially as you have lots of other commitments.

    Chalky - enjoy your lunch!

Jean - I hope you are getting some rest in between walking the cows back and forth!

Thanks for all the encouragement about my kitchen. He's plastering the ceiling now. While I've been longing to get it done because it's been covered in dull-looking plasterboard for months, I am, yet again, dreading the actual work especially as plastering is not the cleanest of jobs. Plus, I am bucket-washer - not so much fun hanging around the outside tap in the shade, and getting wet feet!

Still, the sun is shining and the sky is blue so I won't complain!

Last night I just sewed in some ends on the name-bunting squares but at least it was something!

Hope you all have a good day.
