Now girls! People keep being very derogatory about themselves; case in point was the LOVELY blanket that arrived today from tooti! I dont know! Tooti there is nothing wrong with it and a pusscat will love sitting on it - lovely and thick and Im sure a great place to knead!
Last day in w*** today so am now free for a week! Feels nice to have a relaxing holiday and will be the first since 15 August 2009! One date imprinted on my brain...Getting excited to see best mate but will be fit to pee my pants with excitement when I get to see the aeroplane! I always feel sorry for people who are scared of flying cos I absolutely love it and get like an excited toddler! Am always first at check in (even though I check in at 5am Ill be there for 4 no doubt lol!!) and choose my seat by the window mid way between wing and rear! tomorrow is last bits if shopping (amoeba almost done so its new project time for me!!) and packing; a snooze in the afternoon and sleep at 10 for a few hours and them quiet as a mouse (no mean feat when Im more elaphant sized!!) Ill be off!
Shaz enjoy the night off; chalky hope the clean up goes well and that you get some peace! Miol hope the renovations go well and that you manage to maintain the mantra "it will be worth it"; roaming good luck with the apples-apple sauce; cake and maybe apple vodka would be worth a go?!! hugs all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! ISOM - I can feel the excitement! I hate flying normally, but the last flight I took was from Southampton to Angers here in France and I really enjoyed it, mainly because we were only up in the sky for 55 mins - by the time we'd climbed and had a cup of coffee, it was time to land! I even looked out of the window during the flight, normally the last thing I would do. Anyway, have a fantastic time; can't wait to hear all about it when you return.
I know the hard work renovating now will be worth it but, at the moment, it's exhausting.
Hope you are all having a good evening.

aww thats sad tooti, esp as it prob means that it means that you are unwell? Re blanket if you want to do a few then save on postage and send on in a bit? If you dont want to do more then send away! I do want to keep sending them on an ongoing basis so if people can keep them coming that would be fab! I now have a large sains bag full and am trying to sort collection - they are based in Bristol but have cats from here! They are such a lovely, caring charity that I want to support them on an ongoing basis!
Miol can quite understand the furstration. Next door are having the same issues as renovating kitchen and dust/wood/cabinets all over the place and does get you down! hang in there!

Morning all
Dull and miserable here today, well I supose it is Autumn only to be expected really, at least its dry
Its very quiet in here ...you must all be very busy or off enjoying yourselves
We are hoping to get down to Devon tomorrow, to close the caravan down for the winter.
OH has gone down to the post office to send the IS Hats off as the closing day is Friday 15th, I never realised until yesterday.
Luckily Jo gave me her's when we dropped her back home on Saturday (she and her SIL came on the cruise with us)
I seem to be a bit in limbo regarding knitting/crochet, I really dont know what to do next, I fancy doing the mock mobious but the only circular needles I have are 4mm and 3.75.
I looked on a chart and the size for US 10 is UK 6mm so it looks like a trip to the shops. I wont buy any wool though
better go get something done or nothing will be ready for tomorrow
back later

Hi everyone. Electric has been off again today; DH is boxing in pipes and moving sockets at the same time. I did manage to get the ironing done, made all the easier by watching the continuing coverage of the miners being rescued in Chile. I woke up early and managed to watch the first rescuer go down, and the first miner come up - very moving. They are all really brave, and I am full of admiration for how they have coped down there for so long, and for how organised the rescue mission has been. I am praying that they are all out as soon as possible.
ISOM - have a great time. You must be even more excited today than you were yesterday!
It was very cold first thing this morning but the sun is out and it must be around 24 degrees now, which is lovely.
Anyway, off to make some lunch.

I will keep sending when I can - i have loads of bits of chunky wool and its great to use it up - it seems like a great charity and I am happy to help.
Yes you are right I am not allowed to fly because of my health and its very disappointing as I have never been abroad! but just have to accept it and get on with what I can do while I am still able.
have already got the next blanket started about a third of the way done!
Was very very naughty today and bought a ball of the new pom pom wool to try! I am not meant to go out on my own and today proves it - my bank balance suffered - more than my health:rotfl:
love and hugs to you all
