hello...anyone there!!
Am I a thread killer!! Finished enough bling and friend coming to choose what she wants! Debating whether to do another batch and book a table at local craft fayre...will mean alot of work though and not sure I have the energy! Going to have a fairly quiet day today - babysitting tonight and then a quiet day tomorrow before two more days training and then off to Italy! Starting to think about what I want to take and must do the passport hunt and book parking!
Hope people are ok...so far I have 3 new friends on ravelry group!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Afternoon all -
I am naughty; I say I am going, and then here we are - guess it's too trivial a thing to disappear over, and I am bigger than that (in lots of respects!) so here I am. Suffice to say, plans are afoot, and those on LH should check over there laters. If you're not, please pm me.....
Update available on LH now!
And if you ever visit Rav, see ISOM's post above! Hope all that makes sense.
So, am busy working on all that, along with just general being.
Making mini Christmas stockings for the school fayre, along with some Christmas hedgies - I am guessing these are pocket money prices so would be perfect for the littlies. Am also doing some tree decorations for my swapster in Denver, and planning other stuff for other packages, so my brain is busy, as are my hands and hopefully my stash-busting monster!
ISOM - fab idea. Will message you as don't want to hijack. Let me know your thoughts.
Of to word things properly, will check in everywhere laters! Hope to have lots of you with me.

Hi all. Busy day again. I just had to go food shopping this morning but, with the kitchen not finished yet, most of the food is still in the bags I bought it home in. As I type, DH and our neighbour are cutting the new worktop so, once that's in place, I can start getting all the cupboards organised again. I can hear them talking their own version of Franglais - it makes me laugh; half the conversation is in French, the other half in English and, with their hand signals, they seem to understand each other! I'm longing to get back to normal but normal is still some way off because the walls need plastering, painting, and tiling, but at least I will be able to put things away.
PTB - I am so glad you didn't disappear! I'll try and log in to LH but it doesn't seem to like me and keeps logging me out for some reason, but I will try.
I managed to make a start on the letters for another name-bunting, so hopefully will be able to finish that this evening; depends how long it takes to sort the kitchen out!
ISOM - I love Italy! Which part are you going to? I hope you have a wonderful time. Please look for your passport sooner rather than later, just in case! I know my latest one doesn't expire until 2017, but I still check it every now and again - just in case!
Kinsey - I think that's been the worst part, finding all the bits I need when it comes to meal times!
I hope the weather in the UK is as good as they had forecast. It's glorious here - must be at least 28 degrees. Shame I didn't have enough washing to make up a load.
Well, once I've finished the name-buntings I need to decide what else to make; the buntings are for Christmas pressies, but I want to do some charity stuff next, so I will go and have a look through my patterns for inspiration.
Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Hi folks, just a quickie for the moment.
Sorry I`ve not been around the past couple of weeks, was laid low with the flu. Ironically, I was supposed to be at the nurse last Saturday for my flu jab, so obviously that had to be postponed.
On the mend now but left with the usual cough and stuffy / runny nose but gradually getting better.
Not much woolly stuff been going on although I started a mini prem sized Sands blanket (10inch)while DS was at his first cardiac rehab class on Wednesday. Got some more done on Friday and should get the border done next week while hanging around at the dentist and rehab again. Just as well I can do them in my sleep these days as head is still a bit cotton wooly.
Had a quick skim through the last couple of weeks so am sending hugs to anyone who has had a difficult time lately, whether it`s illness, down in the dumps-ness (?) coping with DIYers or whatever life is chucking at you.
Special hugs for Shelley and her mum - hang in there girls, we`re all here for you.
Ditto for Sock knitter and her boys - surely things will get better for you all - here`s hoping anyway.
Auntie Chalky, will try to post a pic of small chunk of handsomeness - well I think so but then I could be biased - later for you (and all other `aunties`) Hope you`re enjoying your weekend away.
Off to feed the masses.

Hi everyone
Great to hear from Elaine and Tootifrooti!
Elaine - can't wait to see another photo of the little one; I bet he's gorgeous, isn't he? Hope you're feeling better now and that DS is progressing well. I need to have my flu jab soon but I have to visit the doctor with the form I've been sent to get the prescription, which I then take to the pharmacy to get the vaccine, which I then take back to the doctor for the jab! Seems a real palaver when all I had to do in the UK was go for my routine chest clinic check at the GP's and the asthma nurse would give me the jab. WEll, I suppose here it keeps people in jobs; that's why there's so much paperwork here! Boy, do they love their paperwork!
Tootifrooti - hope life starts to get better for you.
Jean - love the bookmarks. You are so talented!
PTB - thanks for your pm!
Well, the kitchen is progressing nicely and, now that the worktops and cupboard doors are in place, it's starting to look like a kitchen! We have a spare base unit and wall cupboard which we've found a place for, so DH is working on that bit now. This afternoon we are visiting are lovely local pork farm to get stocked up with sausages, pies, sausage rolls, bacon, and so on. I'm looking forward to that because one of the pigs there has just had seven piglets and I can't wait to see them! I shall try not to imagine them on the dinner plate, though! The couple who run the farm are lovely so we will have a cuppa and a nice chat, too. Then it will be back to get on with the kitchen.
I didn't do any crochet last night - we didn't sit down until 10pm and my hands just couldn't reach for the wool and hook!
Anyway, I'm off to make a cup of coffee to keep DH working.
Hope you are all having a good weekend.
