Hi everyone. Touch wood, I haven't lost my connection today. (Perhaps I shouldn't have said anything!). Anyway, I'm hoping the gremlins have gone now. Which reminds me, the nocturnal creature that was scuttling across our bedroom ceiling has also gone - touch wood again! We haven't heard it for a few days now so something from the armoury must have worked, be it the electronic thing, the bait, or the handful of mothballs we threw up there! We will keep the area baited and mothballed, just as insurance, but the electronic thingy will be following me around the house because, apparently, spiders don't like them, either!

May- that bib is gorgeous; I really want to make one for the new baby, so thanks for that. The link to the other patterns is good, too. I hope you are feeling as well as can be expected today.

Chalky - have a lovely time in Bransgore!

Jean - I hope things are drier in your house right now!

My kitchen (or, rather, the chap that's putting it in - DH, of course) seems to be taking ages, mainly down to the fact that there isn't a straight wall in the house, so he's having to alter things as he goes. I'm still fed up with it, though! I'm longing to put everything back in the cupboards. He keeps telling me I can but, as not all the cupboards are in place, it seems pointless until it's all finished. I need to see what storage space I have first, otherwise I'll be forever moving things about.

Anyway, the weather is lovely again today, and I hear that the UK is in for a good weekend, so let's hope we all get some decent sun for a few days.

As for the woolly stuff, I have managed to finish one of my name-buntings, apart from linking them together, so I feel as I have at least achieved something towards Christmas!

PTB - please don't leave us!

Shez - (((hugs))) to you all.

Shaz - hope things are going well today.

Well, time for lunch - if I can get near the cooker!

mioliere I had a kitchen fitted a couple of months ago and luckily the fitter was also a carpenter, because like you I don't have such a thing as a straight wall, or a right angle corner, so he had to 'fiddle' quite a lot but got there in the end, I'm glad to say. My worst problem was stopping the dogs from 'helping', and trying to find all the bits so I could cook dinner!

Not been on for a couple of days but think that I'm caught up with the posted now - except PTB's removed one, of course. Anyone know what is going on there? SUrely if a moderator removed it they should leave an explanation in it's place?
    Anyway, please don't leave PTB!

Thanks for the lovely patterns, Maytaurus

Hope the hospital gives your Mum a definite appointment soon, ISOM.

Glad that you have had more time with your Mum that was predicted, Shez, may it continue.

    Congratulations to Daniel, SK

    (((hugs))) to all

  • Just to clarify - I think my post was removed because it mentioned a potential "sw*p" which according to the Forum Rules isn't permitted (if you want the wording, have a look on the forum rules and the one about giving/buying/selling etc). So there we are - that's the only reason I can think of anyway, and I guess there are that many posts that need to be removed that the mods can't explain everything. Not to worry - I have got over it now!! Might be something appearing on LH later, just awaiting Lou's response.

If anyone wants to know anything else - you know where I am! F1 - PM in your inbox!

Anyhoo - Christmas Fayre is still going ahead on the 26th November, and I am still a very busy School Governor!!

Busy weekend ---- and I have just visited Texere(oops), but only left with one ball of rust coloured DK for a gingerbread man and some sparkly white stuff!
