Hello all, sorry been a bit busy lately but had a read back and it seems everything is ticketty boo.
Mrs mp - good to see your new addition has had his wee tongue sorted out. No stopping him with the feeding now.
Pippa - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/search#query=marianna mel
All Mariannas patterns in the one place. Have fun
Nursemaggie - well done with all the little tops. They are quite addictive aren't they.
Ginnyknit- enjoy your wee break. I've been having a looksie but can't decide where I'd like to go.
Well, I finished the small blanket using up the leftovers from the big one and used the last of the yarn to make squares. They are only four inch ones but they are sewn together to make a scarf and once I put a border round it all, hopefully it will be scarf for a toddler.
Next project is my Cosy blanket, attic 24 style.
Been out in the garden off and on most of the day so I think an early night will be on the cards tonight.
Take care all.xFully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Hello all, like psso I have been quite busy. Woke up this morning feeling that life is getting away from me a bit!
Had a lovely but busy and slightly tiring week last week with the boys staying. They are strong, healthy, athletic boys who like their food! Did manage to finish my Aran cardigan though which was good.
Been trying new stitches with my crochet and got things a bit wrong last night - a combination of tiredness and poor light I think. However, will put the more challenging stuff to one side and just rattle up some standard Granny squares for scarves.
My poor garden has been rather neglected over the last couple of weeks so today is garden day. Lots of daffs to deadhead and a few other things to do. I love my spring garden but I hate this bit when all the colour has gone and there is a lull until I get the summer bedding in.
This is care home visiting week so Thursday is going to be a long day. However, on the bright side I will be doing after school care for my boys - their exuberance helps lift my spirits after what is usually a difficult visit.
Best wishes all but especially to those who have had worries lately with themselves and loved ones. xx0 -
Lots of love to one and all. We leave for the UK tonight. An overnight flight so guess will be all at sixes and sevens for a few days. Feeling more than a little fragile today but keeping it under control!!
We arrive back in Devon on Saturday and can't wait to walk in the woods, see the new leaves and flowers and hear the river near our house. It is lovely to visit but I could not live in Dubai! Amazing, etc but so man made and sandy!!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Well I certainly am addicted to Marriana's little baby tops. I like them because they are all in one, we none of us like sewing up. I can also do them in one evening. Sometimes I manage two of the smallest ones. After 50 I could do them with my eyes closed. Apparently I don't look at my knitting very often anyway even with a complicated pattern.
I think there is room for a few more in the box so I may do some more still got 300gms of DK. I found a source of cream baby yarn for only £1 per 100gms.
Have a nice holiday Ginny. I will be going to Malta in July to visit DD who lives in Saudi Arabia. They bought a flat in Malta when they were in Libya a few years ago. Once they retire from the British Council next year I will be able to go in low season. I prefer not to go when it is hottest. Airlines charge ten times as much for School holidays.0 -
Hi, everyone. I hope you are getting the same sunshine that we have been enjoying here in France!
Chalky - safe trip back. I know how you'll be feeling though, so please accept a special hug from me.
Ginny - have a fantastic holiday.
Mrs Moneypenny - hugs to Alfie and to you. I know how worrying it is when little ones have to have surgery, and I am so glad he is doing well, bless him.
Nursemaggie - I will take a look at the Marianna's tops. I need to re-stock on baby wool first, though. I am trying to resist the urge to place another order with the Wool Warehouse. I only received one last week, and must find a way of justifying another one! Oh, before I forget - can I ask you to put your totals in bold red, please? It makes it easier for me to find them when I do the update. My eyes are old and tired nowadays, and I would hate to miss them!
Azzabazza - enjoy those boys!
PSSO - isn't that Stylecraft so good to work with? I love it and don't want to try any other kind now.
Pippa - I hope you enjoyed your time with Mrs Twins!
Joyfull - a warm welcome to you! I think there are changes afoot on the Loving Hands site, but please, please join us on our new Facebook group; here's a link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/400295850147327/

NURSEMAGGIE - when you type in your posting on the top bar above the bit you type is an A with a line under it
if you click on that then choose your colour any one at all
Then click on the A and the black blob and it goes back to black......... give it a try - go on I know you can do it.
