I knew the full time work was temporary but I didn't realis quite how temp, next week I'm back to my usual hours plus a few extra. It was nice while it lasted but it does mean I have spare time again.
Babe is gorgeous I spent this morning showing him off to neighbours and his eldest auntie who hadn't had a chance to see him yet.
He's having the tongue tie procedure done tomorrow so I will be in eggshells until I get news all is well. I know it will be its just the thought of it

Just sewn up another pair of converse bootees, this this in pink, for work friends now niece.

Mrs Mp I know its scary but all will be fine. Sending you hugs xx

Just been finishing off 30 little knitted pumpkins for my friends Halloween wedding and they look so cute. Im going to crochet some fern leaves to put with them or they will look a bit lonely. I tried knitting an acorn but it would be out of scale so gave up on that.

Next project is to use my lovely wool gift to make a blanket for my bed but I may resist and take it on holiday with me next month.

    Hugs to all xxx

Oh mrs Moneypeenythat is good news I know it's only a tiny procedure but everything is such a worry when they are so tiny. I bet you loved showing him off.

ginny whatever you choose I know you will enjoy making a lovely blanket.those pumpkins sound lovely. Can we have a picture on the FB page please ?

pippathe perfect person to finish off such a special blanket . Your work is always stunning.we love Dorset!

Thank you for kind words re: time with William . We leave here on Weds evening. They will be home for a while in the summer which will be lovely but have decided to travel to pastures new in December for both William's birthday and Christmas. That will be their first time away from us at that special time but I am trying to think how lucky we have been to have had them every year so far. They found the travelling hard last year in December and of course William will be at Nursery School then so will need to be ready for a cry early start every morning. My son gets up just after five!

Looking forward to picking up the reins of Sam's blanket when we get home xx

PippaS I got the pattern for Marianna's cardigans off this thread I am sure but it could be another name. It comes in premi and tiny premi sizes and I have adapted it to make a few variations in size.

All in one neck down short sleeve matinee jacket. When I get to 50 I will post a big box full to DiL who works at the hospital where maternity is and DGS was born very premi.

    Hello everyone,
I would like to crotchet squares for blankets. For animals...
I've got piles of wool/yarn of different thicknesses. Does that matter?
Not sure how to get going.
The loving hands website has updates only for 2014, is it still running?
Please point me in right direction.
    Thanks so much

    Welcome joyfull
The best way to make animal blankets and save on postage is to contact an animal sanctuary local to you and see what they want. Then it's possible to deliver and save postage and you also get the chance to meet some of the recipients.
Loving hands is still running but a lot of people find it difficult to access the website for some reason. I can get in and it's still running but Lou tries to encourage people to post donations direct now to save them being posted to her and her sorting and passing them on. She said it was getting too much.

Mrs MP thats good news, I held my breath for you while it was being done. x

We find out on Friday what flavour Dd's new baby bumble bee will be when its cooked. It kicked today and seems to be stood up like a little soldier :j doing star jumps :D

Im totally addicted to Marinna's baby knits and have a big pile of them now. Just copied the dress pattern now :o Ds 's family is in the planning stage too, as soon as they get their new house bought we may have some good news - my goodness I will need multi vitamins and energy drinks!

We go away on the 10th of May for a week to our little fishing place so am trying to get stocks in as there is no village shop anymore. I am looking forward to it so much but it will have to be a budget break but different 4 walls and lovely scenery will make such a change.
