Its been a beautiful day today, garden started a lot more to do yet but already its looking tidier,

Went over to the care home to see Mom and she is sitting there in the lounge like a queen...having her nails done...I am so pleased she has settled so well.
They were having a tea dance this afternoon
and all the residents were really looking forward to it,most of them cant even stand but they watched the dancers who came in.

CONGRATULATIONS to the new parents and welcome to the grand-parents club mrs-m :j:j:j:j

chalky - I trust there is a suitable amount of spoiling going on ;)
kathy - Good to be home isn't it? glad Sam is on the lighter side of his treatment

I started the CAL Lily Pond blanket last night and somehow miscounted...too much talking and not enough concentrating I suspect...sooo I had to rip it back...but I will start again tonight

Ooh a new baby.! Congratulations to the whole family. Bet you can't wait for a cuddle.

Little J and I were busy planting seeds and potting up fuchsia and geraniums in the greenhouse today. Hope he hasn't drowned them, he was rather enthusiastic with his watering can.
He wasn't very happy with me yesterday. I ordered another pack of yarn to do the cosy blanket from attic 24 and he picked out rainbow colours he decided I need. When I opened the bag he was miffed because I hadn't ordered his rainbow....bad grandma. Have promised the rainbow will be the next order.

My 'leftovers' blanket is coming along nicely - it's being made with the yarn leftover from my granny stripe yarn. I have put my new hardback in the plastic bag it was delivered in, out of sight ......Well nearly out of mind.

Off to do a bit more now.

Because DD didn't want to know if she was having a boy or girl all I'd knitted so far was a blanket. He's already too big for newborn clothes, her partner had to bring in 0-3 month supplies for him. So def knitting bigger size stuff when I start.
Just need to get this little 1st size dress finished for a friend then the blue wool will be out.
