not sure if this needs a border or should I just make another three and join them into a much bigger one?

Crochet head - so I can make 3-6 month old hats that fit - instead of the enormous ones I have done

F1 very kindly sent me one of these and the pattern link - just had to make one to cover the gin fizz jug come the summer - keep those flies off.

The whole purpose of the posting - This is the Sun Granny Square for Mrs Twins, will now go and do some more.

hope you have all had a productive day, I certainly have - I even made a start with the filing, but the pile for shredding will take me weeks! Love and cuddles to you all, keep warm and safe.

PS I only did Mrs Twins squares today - the rest has been over the last month

Hi Chalky I have some royal blue yarn and some white. Against the Chelsea kit it looks too dark. Is the photo on the Chelsea looking paler than it is. I have not seen anything lighter anywhere.

Going to have to go on You Tube and refresh my crocheting not done any for about 20 years. I never did do a lot as I can't follow patterns. I only have one hook the old size 10.

That is the same size as the knitting needle I am most comfortable with. I just started a self patterning cardigan in Aran. The 6mm needles feel like pokers. Quite a big difference in the size I am doing too.

I too have been looking in my stash and have not the right shade for Chelsea..... Ummm. ... I think the best thing to say is we will do 6 inch squares in blue and white using DK yarn. That gives a uniformity when it comes to assembling the blankie

nursemaggie I am not sure what size the old 10 in mm is. ( maybe a 5.00 mm. I use a modern size 4.00 crochet hook. or size 8 old needle size or 4.00 mm for knitting.
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • Size 10 knitting needle or crochet hook is the equivalent of 3.25mm.
I rarely post unless I have something relevant to say, but am an avid follower of all your valiant efforts, and often take inspiration from your posts.

Hi, everyone. I hope you are all keeping as well as can be.

Well, Sam unfortunately, had to go back into to hospital on Wednesday because his temperature had gone up. His mum and dad had been told to take his temperature twice a day while he's at home, and to take him back in if it went above a certain number on the thermometer - his immunity is low, so he's more at risk of infection now. My son texted last night to say that they have brought the temperature down with antibiotics; I hope to hear more today, but I think this sort of thing will become a regular worry as the treatment continues. I hope he can be at home today because it's his sister, Lucy's, twelfth birthday today.

Chalky, I think a Facebook page for the photos would be a good idea, and people find it so much easier to post photos on there because you don't need a 'host' to upload them with.

Welcome Melodramaticme - love the name! Feel free to post at any time.

Jean - I love the head; what a great idea for hats! I hope to do my Sun Granny square today. Yours is lovely!
