seakay didnt pop in as may have lurgy...ears are popping which is always a bad sign and didnt think you would want my germs!
Well disaster struck on the piggy so will have to wait until mum gets home to finish that one as she can undo easily while I cannot!
roaming have done the drizzle recipe twice and it worked so let me know - I had a brownie one by nigella that never worked, despite measuring to the endth degree! Now have a foolproof one!
off to do simple supper and get an early night.

evening all, lovely to see it so busy in here, today has been one big shopping trip, i got a new winter coat, new shoes, a radley handbag, and a top, i did treat lads as well, they got jeans/trackies, and a baseball hat for joshua, just need to find them some reasonably priced trainers, when i can find a size 15. no knitting done at all today, but i may do some tonight while watching tv, if i dont fall asleep that is lol
nearly forgot, i got a tunisian crochet hook in the post this morning, and planning on having a go at a baby blanket inknit today magazine.
pam has yours tunisian crochet hook come yet?

first on?!! Flipping heck! Hope youre all ok. i have a couple of tunisian hooks Im happy to share - pm me addy if you would like one and Ill send it off!! Absolutely chucking it down here! Got a very long day as work and then babysitting 6.30-8.30 - instead of the normal 6. Bank balance not looking very happy so time to gird loins and get back on track money wise. Got enough wool for current projects so no wool rescues required for now!

good morning, well last night, i cracked the tunisian crochet, i say cracked i learned it, still seems all fingers and thumbs, but finished square looks like pattern, so i must be doing something right, tho i think i may need a bigger size hook as mine is quite tight, but then again i knit tight too, so thats hardly a suprise
ISOM, sounds like you got a very busy day, try and pace yourself, or else you'll wear yourself out

Ok. School holidays over, American trip done with, so back to some sort of normality I suppose lol. Just didn't seem to get time to get on here, even though I wasn't schooling. Other things took over and time ran away from me :-( Still my needles have not been idle. Knitting myself a nice chunky jacket ready to keep warm in, and knitted Barbie clothes to take out to my grandgirls when we went to the States, and I'm now knitting a tea cosy for my daughter's mother in law. She's a tea drinking American, and loves British tea lol. She's wanted a cosy for ages, but I hadn't seen a pattern I'd particually liked, then while visiting one of the many craft stalls over there with her, she saw a book of cosies, and one in it she really liked so I got it, and it's on the needle :-)
I start my girls back with school officially tomorrow. Needed a couple of days to deal with jet lag, as we got home Saturday morning. Also, I need to catch up with some odds and ends here, and get the school work all up and running.
I came home to a lovely clean house and a freshly painted bathroom :-) Think I'll go away again :-) lol.
Anyway. Great to be able to get back to my routine again, and to get on and chat :-)

not much knitting going on here today, nor anything else, just had a back tooth out, and been told to rest for rest of day, which i am going to, as it has left me feeling rather shaky
