latest set of goodies added to the list above.
ISOM - many thanks for the offer of the drizzle recipe.....but I admit defeat and will not be trying it again - well not for a couple of weeks then eh!
CHALKY - Oh thank you so much for the wee bootee link, will go print it off in a few mins then I am off to see the WEDDING, I just love them, you obviously have been getting my recent share of invites, still that's OK saves me buying anymore hats for the time being. What possessed you to be up that early? Then to go and burn the pickle? I can only hope that your day goes slightly better from now on.
Well, the sun is out and looks like staying at least for the morning so I shall go and crack on with the washing, (yuk). Hope you all have a great big sunny day sending you all love and cuddles

Well, I don`t know what`s going on with you lot. I disappear for a few days and you`re burning chutney, making disasterous drizzle cakes nad losing mojo !!!!! AND someone has the cheek to tell Kathy they are behaving............??

Chalky, you were obviously still half asleep. Naughty girl being up so early and getting ahead of yourself.

Jean - have you sussed where the drizzly cake is going wrong or are you just -*ahem* pretending, so that you have to practice more and eat the evidence? If you need a quality controller - I`m free :D and would force myself to eat cake.....all in a good cause.

Black crow, you seem to be making a good job of your baking. Hmm rock cakes - haven`t made them for a while, like a nice rocky with a cuppa I do. Will have to see about that maybe.

Pippa - sorry to hear about your Mil and Mum. Hope you aren`t running about too much and tiring yourself out.

Well, DS seems to be coping with things quite well. He`s cutting the painkillers down as he reckons it`s more `discomfort` than actual pain so that`s a good sign.

Little JJ is 5 months old now, doesn`t time fly. He`s growing like a weed. Think he`s teething as he`s dribbling like a tap and chewing anything he can get his hands on, and even just his hand if there`s nothing else around.

Trip to Asda is on the cards for this afternoon, need to top up the food cupboards. Forgot how much DS can eat when he is bored
Hope everyone is having a good day wherever you are. Dull and showery here so no gardening, looks like I`ll be able to do woolly stuff this afternoon. DS asked why I have so many things in my knitting corner that don`t seem to be finished :o - explained about the `Butterfly syndrome` I have - and he reckoned the poor wee kids I`ve been knitting for would be all grown up before I got the stuff finished !!! He could be right there - so I have made up my mind to finish off all the wip`s before I start any thing else. So far I`ve stitched all the ends into 2 blankets, 2 scarves and I`m doing the last bit of an Aids type jumper and the final side edging of a Sands blanket. Then I can start something else with a clear concience - and work basket :T.

Off for a snack before shopping or I`ll buy much more than we really need.

Sounds like DS is coming along nicely psso, obviously has a good nurse! Does he babysit when you have to shop? Well done with wip's, wish I had willpower. I just can't resist a nice unstarted ball of wool.

    Hi everyone,
Not been on in ages, not even read through properly, so hugs to anyone who needs one xxxx.
Just to say I am putting my charity knitting on hold just now, finding it hard to find the time to make all the things for us right now so not sure I can fit charity in right now. Still to send a small bundle off but again need to get organised and do that in between everything else!
Just wanting to thank you all for all the work you do with your lovely knitting and crochet- so nice that people all over the place are benefitting from your kindness. Will maybe get back to charity stuff sometime!
We are all ok, except my back. DS has started nursery and is loving it- 3 mornings a week, so gives me a time to catch up on housework and other things that I cannot do so easily when he is around (eg hoovering lol!).
Anyway, God bless you one and all.

lovely to see you popping in orkneystar
difficult morning, been round to see mil and try and help her organise a sort of budget for herself she just keep saying but dad always took care of the money side of things. I think ive sorted it that she has enough left in the bank to cover her regular bills and can still draw enough to for a weekly allowance for food etc. i'll just hope ive worked all the figures out right for her.

not really got my head round any good cause knitting yet so sorry but still no update from me. ive got to keep at that cable jumper now ive started it as otherwise it will end up 1/2 done and stuffed in a drawer unfnished. but i will get back and beorgainsed enough to do some sewing or kntting again soon. im trying to reclaim the cupboard under the stairs as its very full of stash.

is the recipie for thge cola choclate cake anywhere as that sounds interesting, i must make a lemon drizzle cake ive been promising youngest DS one for ages.

chalky im so glad it went well i must check out the photos on your blog

i hope everyone had a good weekend and the day is being kind to you all.

    BACK
PSSO - drizzle did start off being a fingers crossed I hope this doesn't work kind of project - but has gone way beyond that now, hence the change of plan.
Orkney Star - lovely to see you pop in, hey you get to the stuff for the charity AFTER the stuff for the home, thought you knew that one, glad to hear little starlet goes to playschool - 3 mornings off YIPEEE
Mrs Moneypenny, your posting reminded me after my DFIL died, I did the bills for MIL until I showed her how to handle money, WRITE A CHEQUE, even do her own shopping. We laugh about it now but then she was broken hearted with grief and totally unbeknown to us the dear soul was in the very early stages of alzheimer's. Having been married to a sailor who always seemed to be missing somewhere in the world I never imagined that folk didn't know how to deal with such "normal" things, mind you I am a dab hand at dripping taps and central heating too - enough on that score eh!

Hello to everyone-- What a lovely lot of posts today. Lovely to see everyone!
14 jars of apple chutney bottled, labelled and stashed. I think I was a squirrel in a previous life!
We are having carpets fitted at the moment. We have lived in this house for 22 years and they were in a sorry state. Now I am in a sorry state as I hate "stuff" and its everywhere. Luckily they agreed to lay the carpets in 2 lots but even so the whole house seems completely upside down!! I have, however, used it as a massive decluttering venture. Wardrobes, drawers etc, etc.
Pity I am such a sucker for the baby books, toys etc. Jean I need your box !
Well I must get on but love to all x
