    Morning all,

Sounds like a lovely meet up, coffe cake and wool, perfect. prfungi the silk yarn sounds good, what are your plans for it, something really elegant? I have a book (somewhere) on tunisian crochet, if you're interested I'll hunt it out.

Shaz that's horrid for your son, I do hope that gets stopped immediately.

Pippa hope things are going as well as they can.

Chalky how great is modern technology, it must have been such a relief to know DS is well and happy and still thinking of Mum.

Lots of people MIA, we're thinking of you all,

    Love to everone xxx

  • :mad::mad: Just lost my post...... :mad::mad:

So we shall start again -

Shaz and Pam - thank you so much for popping over yesterday. It was lovely to meet you, and hope to do so again soon. I was working out how much money I didn't spend on rescuing all that poor wool yesterday, and the cone alone would have cost £78!! £20 well spent methinks, and all because it wasn't balled and branded nicely. A huge cone of 875g of pure 100% merino dk from the Debbie Bliss Rialto range.......along with some baby alpaca/bamboo; some Aracunia sock yarn (gorgeous purples and oranges); some bamboo/merino.......I knew it was dangerous to go there again.

Chalky - have a lovely wedding tomorrow. I have just posted off a parcel of a prickle of hedgehogs for you. Don't go getting excited now, they are sadly only at the road kill stage so need stuffing and finishing off completely, sorry!

Littlies are definitely growing bigger -- DS has just gone into Year One at school, and DD is a ripe old 2 tomorrow!!! Not quite sure where the time has gone to to be honest - seems to fly by. Need to find my favourite James Martin cake recipe and get the cake in the oven soon too.

DS also has 2 parties to go to already (one next sat and one for twins next Sun). There seem to be loads between now and Christmas. He is having his at the local community centre, with a bouncy castle - we booked it months ago, and at least that we he can invite as many friends as he likes as we have paid for the room, not per head (like the play place does). We will be doing th food too, so makes it a lot more special, not to mention cheaper!

Well. Better get on with pressie wrapping and stuff....

    Pop back laters,

    Dawn x
    :hello:
  • Missed the morning by 16 minutes!! All my good intentions gone to pot yet again.
    9friday2.gif

thought this one more appropriate than the "dress down/casual friday one". Chalky I have a favour to ask, the pattern for the wee tiny bootees, I know you made some last year and I meant to ask where you got the for the pattern then; was reminded the other day when I came across them on your blog again, I did a search and found a pattern that is nearly them but I got in a right state trying to follow it, so please please put me out of my misery and let me know where I can get the pattern?
I will be back a bit later as it's now lunch time and I really shouldn't be here, you all take care while I am busy have a huge big cuddle from me for the time being
    Jean

Just thought I would mention my cake was lemon drizzle - I am trying to perfect a recipe and failing abismally - although that could be on purpose !

Just a quickie as I'm a bit rubbish at the moment. I just wanted to say that those blankets were absolutely beautiful Sue, you have put in such a lot of work and all the love certainly shows.
Hugs to everyone else, I'm not sure what I'm typing my head hurts so much.
    Chat later.
    Love to all.
