Hi to you all, and I hope you are having a good day. We have wonderful weather here today and, apparently, it's set fair for the rest of the week. I am feeling a lot better but I still flake out a bit in the afternoons - nothing that a quick snooze doesn't help to put right!

I've just done the update which you can find here:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhOgVamMPLdkdDREdE9nS2pPYTRlcFQ3Ujc5ekNKamc&pli=1#gid=0

I haven't done anything to add for the last couple of weeks, because I haven't felt up to it and I didn't want to spread my germs!

Hugs to all those in need.

Mrs MP the ducks look so cute all together they look as if they have just hatched with all their neat labels on lol.

I would be very tempted to keep that scarf it is lovely. What a bargain the wool was. I will have to look for some car boots round here. Do you find wool very often?

So glad it was just cysts but a nuisance any way. Do you have to have them removed?

3 more rows and I cast off my 6th scarf only 3 more to go then just a little one for dgs1 teddy along with a hat, jumper and socks. 2 sweaters for dgs1 as well then a few little decs and I can get on and make some premi clothes.

Well done ginnyknit!! Will you still talk to us when you've been 'published'.
Good that something has happened to brighten your week.

Mrs mp, glad to hear it was 'only' cysts. Bet you are relieved.

Been a bit off colour the past couple of days, so not been doing much. Hopefully will improve in the next day or two.

    Hi everyone.

Ginnyknit - I love Tilly and her little friend! Congratulations on having them featured in Knit Magazine. I shall look forward to reading the page!

Elaine - hope you are feeling better today. My bug took ages to go and still makes me feel tired now. Just take it easy until you feel better.

Mrs Moneypenny - glad it was nothing more serious.

Nursemaggie - it would be great to see photos of your finished things!

It's quiet on here lately, which may be because people are not feeling well, or are busy planning for C*******s. Whatever you are all doing, have a great day.

Hello one and all. Gallivanting over and back in our little Spanish house. Been to Yoga this morning so feeling all chilled and relaxed.
We flew from arome to Alicante and apart from forgetting I had packed a jar of fabulous pesto in my hand luggage ( confiscated, by a security officer who went off licking her lips) and an exploding vacuum lack of coffee in the big case.... It got moist in the hold so simply stuck like glue to every article and seam etc. Serves us right for giving such a relaxing time.

I actually did very little crafting. Just a couple of washcloths and am gently thinking what to start for my Autumn hooking. Yoga class are having a charity day on the 8th of November in aid of abused women in Almeria so think I will fet my thinking cap on for that.

For fear of missing anyone out can I please send my love to each and every one of my cyber sisters hereabouts and normal service ( not sure what that is!) will resume from today xxxxxxxxxx:T
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • Hello everyone,
Hope you're all well! I have a quick question for all you experts :) so I've been using the "knotty gritty" beginner book to learn to knit. I'm now on the second, more intermediate book "the next steps". So far I've only been knitting on straight needles but now it's saying I need circular and dp needles for some of the cardigans and sweaters. When I started I bought a set of bamboo straight needles of every size (wasn't expensive on Amazon) and I'm wondering if I need to do the same with circular and do needles? How often do you actually use them? Just wondering what's best really, I obviously want to progress on to socks and cardi and blankets etc and more intricate designs, but don't want to spend a lot on tools I won't use. Any advice?? Thanks
