We have had such a wonderful time with the girls we took them all over the place, Stratford on Avon first it was a lovely day we walked by the river and watched the swans for a while, then wandered into the theatre an amazing building even went on the stage, only behind the curtain though. Then into the tourist barge for some info on places to go, then we wandered around the shops and it started raining so we dashed into MaccyD's for a happy meal and a wrap for grandad and me, we took the vouchers from the boxes and went W H Smiths for the £1 books, and some Simpsons Lego (they used some of their pocket money for that) then to finish the day off it was off to the ice cream barge for a 99 and a flake...what a perfect day...just one more thing to do...leave a calling card a little yellow duck, grandad found the perfect place for it, at the feet of Lady Macbeth, I looked online to see if it had been registered and it had so we were all well pleased.
OH has gone to snooker so I am off to watch TV and work on some crochet now I have almost filled a page with my ramblings
Love to you all Annie xx

good morning everybody..... " it's raining again Grandad" seriously wet here but the garden needs it. We are off on our postponed trip later so hope it brightens up a bit. It's only an hour away. I have been so saddened by the news of late. It's no good turning it off, looking away or pretending it's not there. I think the news is far too graphic these days but it is happening. Humanity seems thin on the ground even for innocent women and children. It breaks my heart.
So, I decided, especially after reading of 99 year old Lillian who is on her way to making 1000 dresses for girls in Africa to do something.
So, on my blog I have launched " share a shirt in September" you can read all about it from the link below.
http://chalkygilbert.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/share-shirt-in-september-idea-in-making.html
So, cyber sisters if you would like to join in the fun please do. My machine is going to be whirring @1 can make a difference.Devon.me
Will be back late tomorrow after I have proved I can spend 24 hours with hook, needles or yarn !!!!!!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi everyone!
It's Sue from 'SIBOL'.
Just popping in to tell you that we are still collecting Sunshine Blankets for the Elderly, Shawls, Butterflies and now I have invited Ladies to make warm hats, fingerless gloves, ordinary gloves, leg warmers, bed socks, scarves and bed jackets. Not cardigans and jumpers. (For Christmas Gifts this year).
So if you are sitting huddled to that fire now as the evenings are getting much colder and want to use that un-wanted stash up, please do think of us.
Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Just got my Daughter back to work she fell down the bottom step and broke her ankle. Still on crutches but things are improving.
Thanks very much
