Mrs Moneypenny - you have just put me in the mood for a pamper.... will have to work on DH. Glad you had a lovely time.
I am sitting here sewing in all the ends from the two crochet pieces above - there are tons on that mandala thingie I will be hear for ages.
DH went to town today and happened by Aldi where a packet of 10 x 50 gr yarn fell into his trolley - 7euro.49
Ok so the colour is a bit subdued for me - a dark aqua - but I will soon sort it out with some bright partners.
Off for some pizza - will call in again a bit later on and catch up properly. If the crochet bug doesn't get me first.

I could always just lie in the bath till the water goes cold - am quite easily pleased. I found a lovely lady reflexologist about three months ago - went once and when I rang for another appointment - she said she wasn't doing it any more grrrrrrr she certainly didn't hint it when I was there.

Hello one and all. Eventually gave in and went to docs . We have had the same doctor who lived in our village for 28 years but sadly he has had to retire after being on long term sick ... ( why does that sound strange for a doctor.... You almost think that the healing is there,.... But I think the stress of being, as he was, a brilliant doctor can be too much these days) anyway I was doing all the right things but as tablets were dated 2009 I guess I did need new ones. Anyway we gave enjoyed the very simple things today. Walks, ice cream and now a steak supper. Some hooky mandela making in between xTry and do a good deed every day.0

Hi everyone.
Chalky, I am so glad you went to the doctor and now have some up to day medication! I hope the neuralgia has now 'done one' as my DS2 would say.
Jean - you will be going mandala mad! I've made a few and, to be honest, I am not sure what to use them for, but they are so satisfying to make! I put vases and pots on them but would love to find the perfect reason to make them! I love that you can make them in all sorts of colour combinations. Have you been finding it cold here in the mornings? It feels very much like autumn is on the way here now!
Dibuzz - what beautiful knitting!
Mrs Moneypenny - I am so glad that you have been pampered; it's what all mums need now and again!
At the moment, we are waiting to hear about one of my close cousins back in the UK. She has always had back problems, and had to go to hospital because she was in severe pain. The doctors had to shave some bone from around the discs, but the spinal fluid leaked and could not be stopped. She developed worse pain and headaches, and was diagnosed with meningitis, luckily not the worst kind, but bad enough. She is still in hospital and hopefully on the mend, but it's a dreadful worry for everyone. She's a lovely person and I really hope she gets back to her normal, if slightly bonkers (in a nice way) self.
Anyway, DH has been working this week, and he has a couple of days work next week, then he is booked to do two jobs in the south of France in September, close to where his brother lives so, of course, I have to go with him! We will go in two visits because he has other work to fit in with here, and we will turn one of the trips into a bit of a break and visit Montpellier and a few other places we would like to see. One big treat will be going across the Millau Viaduct, which I have been longing to do since we got here. It will be a shame that he has to work, but I won't so I will take a load of wool, my books, my laptop and my iPad and just enjoy myself.
Will do the update later.
