Hugs for Chalky, ordinary neuralgia is bad enough, hope it goes off soon xxx

Just back from taking Dgs to the paediatrician as Mummy is working and daddy is poorly. He excelled himself and even gave the doctors a kiss when he left . They are pleased with him especially his chattyness which I love listening too.he is now snoozing away after polishing off a treat of meat pie with a handful of chips and some gravy - appetite not a concern either :rotfl:

Im now going to sit and sew up my patchwork..... peace!

dibuzz - I hope your hand has healed now

Thanks, it's still sore but I can knit again especially with Mrs Moneypenny's circular needle which now has a little bodywarmer hanging from it. I'm just making sure I don't overdo it.

Gentle hugs chalky, I hope you feel better soon.

I've not been online much for a few days, after 2 hours sleep in 72 I just haven't had the energy and don't know if I'm coning or going :(

Hi everyone. Just typed a long post and it's disappeared into the ether!

Chalky - I hope the neuralgia has gone.

Dibuzz - glad you can knit again!

Pippa - I am so pleased that your mum is doing better, and that Edna has slung her hook.

Ginny - so glad that your DGS is doing well.

    F1 - it's feeling a bit autumnal here, too!

Well, my wonderful DS1 and his family have now arrived back at home after their trip through Europe on their way to us. We have had the most fantastic time with them all, and the house feels empty and quiet without them. This house, like every house, benefits with family, especially children, in it! Even the weather improved enough for us to take the children swimming in a nearby lake resort, although none of the adults was brave enough! We had lots of barbecues and picnics, and walks around the various parks here, and enjoyed each others company so much. A highlight for me was seeing the look of joy on DGD's face when she mastered the crochet chain and even made a simple flower - teaching a granddaughter to crochet - pure bliss! She went off with several little balls of wool in lots of different colours, three crochet hooks, and a bodkin, all in a little bag (along with the buttons she chose from my button collection), and I have emailed her some links to Youtube tutorials. DGS taught us several card games that we had not played before, and had us running ragged around the garden and playing basketball and cricket. Anyway, a good time was had by all and now I really miss them!

My DGD2 had her birthday on Sunday and we had a great Skype call. One of her presents was a toy karaoke machine, complete with a microphone on a stand, and she had us in tears of laughter as she went through her collection of songs. Methinks her mum and dad may regret buying her that! DGD3 had her turn on it, too, so I think it will get a lot of noisy use!

Anyway, talking of little yellow ducks, it seems that none of mine have been reported and, as I left them in June, they must be somewhere out there!

I haven't got back into any woolly stuff since the family left, and I am just wondering what to do next; it's my mum's birthday next month, so I want to make something for her. I know she won't be too aware of the presents she gets, bless her, but I still want to make her something, so I shall look to the oracle that is Pinterest for inspiration.

I hope you all have a good day!

Hello you lovely lot... Thank you for kind wishes. Not like me to be under the weather!!!
Last night I felt so bad and in so much pain... Like shooting electrical charges that Andy rang the place where we were going and they without quibble changed the date til next week. What a relief.
Today I am still feeling fragile with some shooting pain but the gap between is getting longer.
Right enough of me and my woes.

Kathyi am so happy you had such a lovely time... I know how much you will have loved every single minute.

Ginny such lovely news of DGS .. He sounds a little smasher. I have thought about you a lot these last days as you care for your husband. Lots of love x

F1 just keep on hooking. Hookers are hot!!!

jeanbet you are hatching a plan for this autumn.

dibuzzgentle thoughts to you. Everything a bit off kilter at the moment!

Well I am taking it gently but have managed to get out with Archie this morning. The sun felt lovely.

Lots of love to one and all and hoping that all relatives are beginning to make good progress.
Try and do a good deed every day.
