    Evening peeps

Not been in for a few days too much going on with MIL,she is so poorly, the doctor said medically they can do no more for her except stabilise her and make her comfortable.

She will be coming out, but going into a nursing home as the Doctor said a care home is not adequate for her needs.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts for MIL xx

thought i was coping ok, but tonight, i feel so alone and unloved, dont think i'll ever meet mr right, in fact i give up on relationships full stop, having 2 sons with special needs is more than enough for me to cope with, how can i expect anybody else to put up with them too, and its not like i get a break, unless they at school

Hi shaz, I was so proud of you when I read your earlier post - you sounded so positive. You have so much on your plate, it is so hard for you to keep going, but you know that you can do it, come on girl - its only a fella - s*d him!
I tried ringing on the mobile no. I have for you but couldn't get through, ring me if you want to chat or pm me your new number & I'll use up my free minutes!

    Hi everyone

Thank you all for your kind wishes for my trip back - which is, at last, today! Whether we make it to the boat on time is up to the French with their national strike on today! We'll leave earlier than we normally would and only make one or two stops to stretch our legs. If the worst comes to the worst and we miss the boat (and it has happened to us twice before!), Britanny Ferries are usually good so hopefully we'll get the next boat. I've emailed the folks back home to warn them, and will keep in touch so they aren't worried about us!

Pippa - I'm so sorry to hear that MIL is not doing so well. (((Hugs))) to you all.

Shaz - I wish I could be there in person, if only as a shoulder to cry on; it's horrible to think of you feeling sad and unloved. As Pam says, though, he's only a fella, and not the right one for you. The perfect man for you is out there somewhere and will love you and your boys no matter what. You deserve for things to work out for you.

ISOM - glad that your mum is settled back with you.

Jean - thank you so so much for taking care of the updates for us! I'm very grateful!

Chalky - I hope each day is feeling better than the one before; just keep bashing that hoover around!

Well, practically everything is packed now; just a few last minute bits and pieces, and essentials like making sandwiches for the journey, emptying the kitchen bins and so on, so we don't come back to any nasty niffs! We've moved all our garden tubs and containers into one place so that it's easy for our neighbours to water them for us - that might not be necessary for a while because it poured with rain through the night - the first rain we've had for weeks now - still, it will get us ready for the UK!

I'm not sure if I'll be popping in before we leave so, if I don't, I wish you all well. We'll be back on the evening of Friday 17th September. I know I'll miss you all like mad but, if I get the chance to log in while I'm away, I will!

Ooh, I've just remembered - it's my birthday today, and my DS1's, too (who was the best birthday present I've ever had even if it was 39 years ago!), and the anniversary of the day that DH and I first met! It's the perfect day to be sailing back to see all the people I love and have missed so much!

Take care, all of you - I'll miss you!

Happy Birthday mioliere, and happy journey with no holdups.

The little old lady feeding Louis salmon could be me if he swam the channel and turned black, another cat coming knocking on my window for food, this one has got a collar on though.

Pippa horrid time for you and family, thinking of you. (((hugs)))

Shaz horrid stuff happening to you as well, sorry to hear about BF, as others have said there is a Mr Right out there somewhere, but looks like you need a lot of patience. Don't give up, you seem such a strong person. Has no one offered more help as the boys get older? I don't know how it works but I would hope there is some help for you.

Chalky you're doing well, keep it up. Bet that will be an interesting car boot!

ISOM well done with doing a thirteen hour day!

f1 you did make me laugh with the tales of your MIL. Perhaps next time she visits you could leave pink wool laying around:)

roamin' love the cartoons, you have a lovely sense of humour

    Love to everyone xxx
  • as the boys have gotten older their is still no help available despite asking and pleading for it. only use social worker has, is being an appropriate adult in court for daniel, as i cant as i'm the victim/witness.
everytime something happens with the boys, social worker just says ring the police.
boys are in school again, so peaceful here, dont know how i'll cope next year tho, they leave next march:eek:
cant decide what to knit today, i have so many projects on the go, i really ought to work on them first
