  • Havnt updated my sig yet as waiting for my tesco home delivery tomm, habe a guide price of £65 but bought loads of bogofs. Did a massive shop at Asda on monday and just getting stuff from tesco that asda dont stock (we have a smallish asda). So am hoping that rest of month is going to be cheaper.

Have climbed back on the menu planning wagon as fell off totally during the school holidays.
  • Oh dear, just balanced my bank account for this week and I have spent £73.99! Just goes to show how well those meal plans work doesn't it, cos look how it jumps when I haven't had one to follow .

Even though I said I would, I never actually got round to finalising any meal plans so I will sit down tonight and sort them out for the rest of the month and then I plan to do one online shop for the rest of this month at around £85 hopefully bringing me bank in line. Don't know if it can be done but we shall see.

Hope everyone else is doing better than me.:o ;)

Week one: overspent £50 budget by £2.36. Not too bad, but not good either! Really going to try this next week but have already spent £30.85 on shopping for this coming week. That's OK if everything lasts till the end but my kids are gannets. Have taken to hiding stuff meant for later in the week away!!! :rotfl: So, £19.15 left for the week, of which £10.50 is milkman. Gulp.
    Taking control, slowly.:rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Week 1 -
Well first week over and finding it difficult. Started O.K. spending £72.40 at Tesco's. but then had to add extras such as lightbulbs and batteries throughout the week (not sure if these count as groceries?) Also took daughter on a day out for her birthday.. Planned ahead and made a picnic. However, weather so bad had to seek refuge from the rain and ended up spending £7.55 on drinks.

So grand total for week 1 - £88.18

£211.82 for next 3 weeks - must try harder!
    Olympic Bronze Challenge Target £1007

I'm in - 100 squideroonies to spend on all food, cleaning bits, toiletries and dog stuff.
I'll start on 1st September as I'm away working until August 31st and food is all paid for by work.
Didn't do too badly last month - still have to tot it all up but I thinkit was around 90 (out of a budget of 100).
    Good luck to all!

Spent 2.50 in Tescos last night on bread and dog food. Have enough to last the week and will be going away from next Sunday for 6 days with work - get back on the 23rd, so justa week to last until the end of the month.

Running total - 56 in tescos at beginning of the month and 2.50 = 58.50
41.50 to last till the end of the month (Sept 30th).

This week has NOT gone well - see below.

Challenge definitely now on to come in on target for the month.

(DH away most of one week so that should help!)
