Our Garden Before & After

It's fantastic how you have maximised the space, my only concern would be the stability of those pots in a gale, especially the ones on top of the wall.0

Wow I love it, absolutely stunning!
Need to work out what to do with ours now, we have quite a bit of space but most of it is not used very well. I am very inspired!0 -
Pink it looks ace!
I have some of those pots too though mine have gone a bit rusty!I may stick them up on the wall anyway!

brogusblue Thank you for putting the links for the pots and rails on
They are really fab have been so useful in our garden.
Southsaver we spent longer filling in all the gaps, but I think it looks so much better. The paint was really good to work with, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to paint their walls. We couldn't paint the wall behind, as it belongs to the house behind us - but I agree with you, I do like the contrast between the two.
SallyForth - you're right, I do get concerned about the round pots on the decking shelf atm. I'm planning on potting them up to bigger pots soon. The very back shelf is ok, as it's very wide (about a foot wide).0 -
benjismum - you've worked really hard on your garden, it looks so posh! Thank you for sharing your wonderful garden with us0

A very distinctive and productive garden, which shows what can be done with a small space - it's great! With all those walls, I bet there's a fantastic microclimate, perfect for fruit or exotics. Something like verbena bonariensis would look good against the walls too.
Having a pint-sized garden can be a challenge in design. We probably spent more time on our tiddler than we did on the big garden that replaced it, mainly because it was hard to get all the features in without it looking bitty and contrived. It was rubbish as a productive space though, whereas yours is paying you back handsomely.
Well done!0 -
WOW its fabulous and must make you feel very proud. Guess whose off to Ikea today. My garden is 16ft x 16ft and I have a 6 x 4 greenhouse and a 8 x 6 shed plus loads of large tubs as I like planting dward fruit trees and some years back I took up most of the soil about from a 18" border and covered it with crazy pathing nas I hate soggy grass, so most of everything I plant is in tubs which are a devil to look after as you have to make sure they are well watered.
Its great to see someone using their iniative as you both have here. Come the winter we will all be bored stiff because we cant get into the garden. x:DLook after the pennys and the pounds will look after themselves:money:0
