Don't worry about putting too many sweets in, it won't overpower the vodka!;) If you worry you haven't put enough in you can always add more later.
My advice is to smash the sweets up first then add to the vodka.
Never use green skittles they will make the vodka sludgy coloured.
When I make sweety vodka, I always filter it several times or you will have a scum on the top.
Try dissolving a chocolate orange in vodka, its lovely as a shot or poured on ice cream!
I am available for tasting sessions;)

Thanks for that. Is there any sweets you can use that don't need filtering? I love the chocolate orange idea.:D
  • This week I've made raspberry, glacier mint, werthers and skittle vodka. The vodka 'eats' the sweets and within a couple of days there was no trace of them in the jars.
Any idea how long I should leave them for the best results?
