Sorry you didnt get the right reaction from hubby honey. At the risk of sounding like a little 50s housewife, try not to be too upset with hubby though, as I am sure he didnt mean to be insensitive. I truly believe the whole Men are from Mars thing - so often my BF will do something and I will think are you really that Stooopid or do you just not care? But whenI run things past my girlfriends they take my side, when I run it past male friends they see his point of view. I would have thought his offer of wine and a cuddle is probably just the male way of showing he cares...

But then again I've been divorced for donkies years so what do I know???!!!

Hope you have a better day today xx
  • Aww sorry to hear that, I think he should get the wine, cook dinner (but without expecting that "cuddle" on the sofa) to make it up to you.

  • Well hubby bought wine and a takeaway and was very sweet and apologised for being a plank.

Today i've spent £50 on mil/fil christmas present.

Have withdrawn £25 from a survey company, takes around 5 weeks for cheque to arrive, so well after christmas and no excuse for it not to go to BC, have paid £2.84 off BC as decided i'm going to try and round current account up tp nearest £5 everyday if possible.

Tea tonight is cornish pasties, chips and peas, yum yum, gonna finish wine as well whilst watching x factor.
  • Glad hubby made up for his plankishness. That's an amazing survey amount - you are the boss of the surveys haha!

  • Hahaha - my £5 on lightspeed in a couple of months now seems amazing. I haven't got much time for surveys atm but will get back on track in the new year.

  • Good morning all.

Had a fab day yesterday, spent the morning walking dogs as a family which is always nice and then yesterday afternoon went to one of the local towns as they were having a christmas fair thingy, mangaged to spend £30 on bits including ice skating for me and kids:D, hubby was a wuss and wouldn't have a go. Both children announced they had forgotten there pocket money off Grandma:mad: £5,so told them what ever they wanted i would buy and they had to give me the money back when they got home, which they both did, they both bought some christmassy bits DD spent £5.50 and DS £4.95, felt a bit mean but thought they have to learn and i paid for ice skating, visit to santa, reindeer feeding and hot choccies, so only fair did let DD off 50p.

Sent £1.91 to BC yesterday and another £1.22 this morning, Need to pay Post office CC this week, then everything is up to date for christmas.

Petrol needed today but that should be the only spend, work all day so need to take lunch with me, speaking of work only 5 days until we break up:j, i'm counting down now, so excited.

sounds like a lovely day xx
  • That does sound like a lovely day. I bet you can't wait to break up now, the holidays make me want to work in a school (although my mum was a headteacher for years so I do know it's a very hard and stressful place to work so you do deserve them) xx
