I don't have the patience to hand whip double cream. I should make my own scones really - I have the know-how but at the MIL tonight so don't want to intrude into her kitchen haha

you'll get there PWPS - good things come to those that wait, and all that... :-)
  • Morning, yesterday turned out to be an expensive day, spent £9 in the pound shop DS bought his sister a couple of christmas presents fluuffy sock, sweets and art set and i got some stocking fillers, spent £15 in Bodyshop on a few last minute presents, did well though got 3 little smelly set that were £5 each and 2 bags of five animal soaps £3 each, this should of come to £21 anyway for some reason because i bought 3 £5 gift sets the till took £3 off, so came to £18 but i had a voucher for £5 off a £20 spend so treated myself to a £2 coconut soap that i love, but never buy as expensive for a soap, which brought it all to £20 used voucher and got the lot for £15:D.

Had tea out as a treat for kids as they did really well in school Nativity both had major speaking parts and have also recieved certificates from school DD for Literacy and DD for his numeracy skills, didn't go mad though and thought it was reasonable £24.96 spent on 4 main courses, 2 ice cream sundaes for kids and 4 drinks.

Have paid £1.09 quidco money off BC.

Today i need to post some ebay things at post office, pay ebay fees, do meter reading:eek: which i'm dreading, as know we have used loads of gas, also pay school dinners £30.

Full day at work today, need to take something for lunch, have a good day everyone.

Sounds like a lovely day PWPS - perhaps we occasionally need a day off for debt busting to do family things. It makes the treat so much more special too xx

I totally agree. I think you can deny yourself quite a lot as you know the eventual outcome, but kids need a treat every now and then. I think it's great the treats have been linked to their achievements, it will install in them hard work pays off.

I'm quite gutted my DS nursery isn't having a Christmas play - most do and I feel a bit left out. Lucky he's too young really to know.
