  • Cuckoo my hubby used to do that as well, but we ended up having a blazing row about it a few years ago, as my side i buy for 6 people and hubbies side there are 15 didn't seem fair to me, think men will sit back and let you do everything at christmas time, come to the conclusion its because their mothers always have.

Had a good weekend so far, shopping arrived Friday night spent £169:eek:, that should last us the month, except for christmas day food and fresh fruit and veg. Do need to pop out for milk today as we seem to be using loads at the minute, might send hubby though as i went out side earlier for logs and it was so slippy with ice, nearly ended up flat on my back:(.

Good day yesterday postie brought me a free rimmel lipstick that i had won and its a nice colour:D, so will actually use it and not end up giving it to DD, had enough points to order a £10 amazon voucher from a survey company:D and on Friday i decided to buy a lottery ticket with the last £1 i had in my purse and i won a tenner last night, so that will be winging its way to BC.

Ebay bids are only at £6, but i will look at it positivily (sp) might not be as much as i was hopeing but there are a few hours to go and i'm £6 better off than if it was still sat in a cupboard.

    Today involves cooking and cleaning.

Wrote out yesterday what we are eating xmas day and wrote a grocery list to go with it:), will do food shopping for xmas day instore, so i know i have everything ineed.

Need to buy a couple more pressies, but think i will order these from thortons and then hopefully thats me done.
  • hi pwps

OMG to you baking fairycakes before 7.18am  you are soooo disciplined!! Your right though they do only take a few mins to whip up.

Oh dear god to the BC issue. Did you leave it in the end then?

Well done on your crusade, as ever you are doing very well :T

  • Hi Guys

The extra £200 that BC took turned up in my BC account so i've left it there, has made this month tight, but ha ho at least it turned up.

Made £34 on ebay yesterday, think this money might be put into savings account, so its there if i need it for emergency groceries, if its not used i will send to BC.

Long day at work today and have been offered a few more hours this week does mean working all day everyday this week but the money will be useful as it will be in Jans pay packet just in time for DD birthday, so going to do it, house will probably look like a pig sty by the end of the week, but we break up in less than 2 weeks so it can be sorted then.

Finally put christmas tree up tonight when we got in, looks lovely and i feel all christmasy:).
  • Also confession time i spent £2 on a meal deal at Tesco, sandwich juice and crisps as i forgot my lunch.

  • Nothing of interest going on at the moment, had to rearrange a dental appointment as i am working all day tommorrow and couldn't get in until the 30th march and its only a check-up:mad:, at least its some money saved this month.

HM Cottage pie for tea and have just made some scones so will ahve those with cream and jam:D yum yum.

Was happy yesterday as the snow was melting and thought yeah its going, opened curtains this morning to find it had dumped a pile more:eek:, i now hate the stuff, it would be ok if i was at home and the kids had broken up from school as i would just hibernate.
