  • Everything is going wrong and i went to stay in bed and cry.

Rang barc card to be told they have no offers for me at the moment and could try ringing back in a few weeks.

Went to work got soaked before i got there as i couldn't get parked near school cos of road works, so had to park 10 mins away, umberella almost had me doing a mary poppins and then it blew inside out breaking it:(, feet were soaked and then at lunch time noticed that the sole was coming away from the shoe:mad:, must have been because they got so wet.

:(So no money to go buy new shoes, so i had to resort to use next account to buy new ones, ended up spending £85 on a pair of winter boots and pair of shoes, hoping these will last me the winter and will hopefully be able to pay for these next month. At least i wil have decent shoes for work and i will only wear these for work and wear cheapie ones for everyday.

Ended up having to go to Tesco as was runnig out of soo much stuff and spent £33.

DD mentioned to me yesterday that her brownie trip needs paying for on Thursday, rang another mum to see if that was right as i hadn't recieved a letter and it was so need to pay £20 for that, also recieved bill for school dinners another £30.

So the next few weeks are going to be extremly tight and i have about £20 left for groceries as i've managed to totally fluff up the budget somewhere, i do currently have £14 in Paypal and a couple of bits finishing on Ebay this weekend.
  • Oh dear :(

Nevermind hun - It's a bump in the DFW road, put yesterday behind you and keep going. Hopefully no more unexpected expenses will jump up to bite you in the bum this month - you will get there.

Sorry about BC - that would have been really handy. Try again in a few weeks like they said.

Big hugs for you Pennywise x x

Like all these journeys a bit of fine tuning is necessary. I am sure that things will come right in the next round of budgeting and tweeking.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Thanks guys, feeling a bit brighter.

Have sausage casserole nicely cooking for tonights tea, hope it will do OH lunch tommorow as well.
Postie brought me a choccie bar to test from a survey company and it was very yummy, they are going to get some very positive feedback, or maybe free chocolate just tastes better, i recieved a cravendale stripey jug, my nan has been saving the codes for me and i had enough to order a jug and it is blue and white stripe dead cute, perfect for serving custard in:D
Also brought me vouchers for sainsburys, 4 weeks worth of £9 off £60 a spend, won't be able to use 2 of them as they run out before i get paid:(.

Can't believe how cold it is,CH clicked on this morning even though the stove was burning , thermostate is set at 17, don't want to set it any lower, but wasn't expecting it to come on in a morning until at least December.

On the money making front nothing has changed, couple of ebay bids that finish at the weekend, surveys are dead slow and not really getting anywhere at the moment just keep being screened out or they have closed before i get chance to do them, maybe its a sign that more people are doing them for extra cash.
  • Glad your feeling a little better.
It is soooooo cold today!!! Ive had the heating on most of the day!! Dread to think of the bills but im to cold.........
Hope the ebay gets lots of bids for you :)

  • Hi Pennywise, sorry your having a rubbish time at the mo.

On the survey front have you been checking into yougov daily?

Since 2nd Sept ive earned 1650 points, I worked out when I previously wasnt logging in it took me 19 months to get to the same amount of points!! So im hoping in the next 5-6 months to have another £50 cheque. Just a thought x x x

  • NO must try and log onto yougov everyday, i do with onepoll.

Bit of a boring day today, been to work this morning, came home and Next delivery had been left with neighbour, boots fit fab but shoes are too narrow:( so will send them back at least thats saved me some money as the shoes were £45:eek:.

Postie tried to deliver a parcel so will go and get that later, not sure what it is, also need to post ebay parcel.

Withdrew £16 from paypal last night will put this to one side in savings account, so at least i can get to it if i need to get food shopping and if not will pay it off halifax, if its seperate and i have to make the effort to transfer it to current account i'm much less likely to spend it;)

Woke up at 5.30am to the sound of clanking pipes as the CH came on, i was very MSE i shot out of bed turned it off went downstairs and opened up the vents on the woodburner and filled it up with more logs and went back to bed, woke up at 7.00am and the house was nice and toasty:D.

Hi PWPS.. Have lurked a bit before but have now subscribed to your diary so will pop in from time to time to see how you're doing. Hope you continue to feel a bit better. Sounds like a good idea to see how you go with the paypal money.
