    Morning.

DS has woken this morning feeling unwell:(, he is complaining of a headache and feels really hot so have wrapped him up in a fleece blanket on the sofa and is watching cartoons.

Had a tidy in the baking cupboard and found lots of bits of chocolate so going to melt these down and make some crispy cakes, these should keep kids going for a few days and save buying biccies, got hubby to buy potatoes on way home from work last night as we were low so this will keep me out of Tesco for a few days, also means we can have jkt spuds with the leftover meatballls and sauce tonight for tea.

Dh took kiddies to a firework display, i decided to stay home as i'm not that keen on them and also to save money it was £3.50 each to get in:eek:, so would have been £14 for the 4 of us.

Have recieved an email this morning with an amazon voucher for £10, not sure what i'm going to start saving these for, will need to have a think and have done a few surveys that i managed not to get screened out of:D.

Suppose i better see if i can find anything to ebay since its free listing this weekend.
  • Hi pennywise!

Big hugs for your DS - poor wee soul x x

Bad news on the BT for BC running out :( - never mind though, will just give you more drive to get the Halifax card paid off.

If you like I can give you my all famous crispy cake recipe :rotfl::rotfl:.

    BR x
  • BR is that the one you buy from the shops and take out of the wrapper:rotfl::rotfl:.

Good to have you back, sorry the weather was pants on your hols but at least you had a break and time together as a family.

Today i have managed to list 9 items on ebay:D, can't find anything else worth selling, so i think that is me done with ebay until after xmas:(.

Have done a few more surveys today, House keeping and Child ben go in to account next week so i will be able to throw some money at debt, everything feels stagnent at the moment and its getting me down, i need money, actually might go and raid change jar and buy a lottery ticket, cos you never know.
  • Someone from Halifax was telling me that a new rule in force this month means that all cc companies have to put your payments against the highest debts now. As for the barclaycard BT - in me experience, once they offer you one, they normally continue offering them, worth checking online every so often or even just ringing to ask if they have any deals available.
Proud to be dealing with my debts,

  • Thanks, thats true about BC they quite often offer me deals on BT so will keep an eye out.

Also been thinking that with these changes would i be better having all me debt on one card if i could get a 0% or low transfer rate and chuck all my money at one card, B Card has a limit of £9400:eek:. I could then cancel the other cards then.
  • What are the interest rates on all of your cards pennywise? I would shift any with a higher rate - will save you in the long run??

    BR x
  • Ah just seen on your first page that BC has one of your highest rates - so wouldn't be worth it unless you get an 0% deal really.

Maybe phone BC and see if they will offer you anything? You don't ask you don't get.......

    BR x
  • Yeah BC is highest was thinking if i could get a low LOB transfer or 0% and get all debt on 1 card i would then only have that to think about and would make it easier to throw bits of money at iyswim.

    Current card rates

    Barc card 16.9%
    Tesco 6% LOB
santander 0% march then it goes to 16.9 same as BC
Post office 0% untiljune then 16.9 again same as BC
    Cap 1 6% LOB.

If i could get a 0% deal from BC then i would transfer everything onto this close all cards except cap1 as they offer me good transfer offers, chuck as much as possible at BC to get it cleared then when 0% runs out hopefully transfer to Cap1 at a good rate, would this/could this work.

Also santander and post office are a pain cos you can't over pay online like you can with BC and cap1 and halifax are stopping online payments as well, i think they are doing on purpose to make it harder for customer to pay off debt:mad:, so you can't pay off little extra bits and get your balance down faster so they make more money.
  • Definately could work hun!

Get on the phone to BC and see what they have to offer

    BRx
  • Will do that i think, not gonna have time todya, will fit it in tommorrow.

Also just made £10 on ebay with a BIN, pleased this will also go towards Halifax card.
