Hi Pennywise, sounds like you had a really sh!tty week last week, heres hoping the week is better!
Im also public sector and our contracts end March so that might be me out of a job too! Im trying to sit tight at the mo and see what happens re funding.
Good news on the trainers. Your poor Nan, hows she doing? You have a good heart stocking up on her stuff for her, I always think good things come to good people x xMummytogirls x0 -
Well its blumming freezing up north, car was frozen solid.
Nipped to Tesco this morning and spent £17 but had £5 in clubcard vouchers, so spent £12, bought loads of tatties, baking stuff and bits for packed lunch so we are ok for another week.
Good day at work, no news there, so just keeping head down and working to best of my ability.
nan is much brighter thankyou, sister home tonight, have not told her nan has been ill as there was nothing she could do on holiday and she would only have worried, will ring her in the morning.
3 letters brought home tonight from school, all wanting money and a bunch of raffle tickets to sell as well for christmas fair. will sell a few raffle tickets to close families, but not gonna be like some of the yummy mummies that will buy £20 for themselves at a time:eek:, one was for childrens christmas lunch which i will pay for as i think its nice for kiddies to have christmas lunch with their friends and pull crackers etc, other is for a pta thing in the evening, tickets £5 each, don't think so, i'm sure i'm busy that night;). DD also came home with party invite.
Need to get baking tonight and have a general tidy round as we look like a bomb has gone off, also looks like a chinese laundry, washing drying everywhere:(.0 -

Pennywise it is freezing here too!
Glad Nan is feeling better today.
When will you find you if your contact will be renewed? The not knowing is the worst bit. You are doing really well to stay positive!

Evening guys, thanks for all your kind words regarding nan, she is a lot better in herself and sister is back off hols and went to see her today, spoke to her earlier sis said she was eating and drinking and quite chatty, so thats good.
Have no idea about the job, but was talking to head today (had a meeting with her) she said she will be letting people go but has to think carefullly as she can't lose her best staff and gave me a smile, so i think i might be ok, not that i'm saying i'm the best member of staff or anything IYSWIM.
Also been logging on to Barc card everyday since i decided i need to have everything on one card and they had an offer for me:j, 6.9% LOB, well chuffed, so have transferred all cards except Post office as that is 0% until August, so will just keep on paying Minimum on PO and throw everything at BC, going to keep cap 1 open but reduce limit to £1000 so that when post office runs out hopefully will have somewhere to balance transfer to at low rate. Not sure what the total amount is on BC now as will be paying transfer fees, but think it will be around £7000:eek:.
As they say things can only get better.0 -
