Yay to finding the hidden present pennywise, that will save you a bit.

I think I might set up a present box in my wardrobe you know! We took the kids to McDonalds last week and there was a voucher on the side of the happy meal boxes for £1 off a Shrek book. So I think il use those and then when you get those £5 off No7 on Boots, I very really use them. Think il start popping in and using them and keeping bits stashed in a box!!

  • Postie has brought me some dish wash tabs to test from a survey company, so at least i can cross them off Aug grocery list and saving me a few pounds:D.

Have paid CC and withdrawn money for friend, just parcels to post, will do that when i've picked children up from school.

Like your idea mummy, i hardly ever go into main town as its just a pain in the neck with parking and traffic, so those sort of vouchers don't get used.
  • Decided to wander off to post office and send eay parcels, total cost £7.14, had budgeted £10 so pleased with that and should hopefully have £35 to pay for shopping using voucher:).

Yay thats great news on the postage front pennywise :j!!!

Re the No7 vouchers our local pharmacy is a boots so ive often been given the vouchers in there. Then I work quite near the town centre so its easy enough to pop in their at lunch time and pick up some freebies!
Although they do sell No7 stuff in the pharmacy so I could probably redeem it in there!!

    Hi Pennywise,

Just been reading your diary and since I [STRIKE]stole[/STRIKE] borrowed your coleslaw recipe, thought I'd share my fried rice one with you - it's very tasty with a curry!

Boil up some rice then (ideally) leave to cool - I don't always if in a hurry
Switch up an egg, drop into a really hot wok or frying pan (dry - no oil) then stir with a wooden spoon as if making scrambled egg, throw in the rice, I also put in some frozen peas (thawed first obviously) and plenty of soy sauce to colour and flavour :D

  • :TThanks swinstie, thats brilliant, will try it at the weekend.
    Hope you enjoy the coleslaw.

Morning pennywise, hope your feeling a bit more positive today. My debt free date is Dec 2014 which feels like so far away my youngest will be nearly 5 by then  but we need to keep focused and keep ploughing away at the debt. Also overpaying where we can.

Swinstie, think il steal your fried rice recipe too, sounds delish :D!

Hi mummy, yes we need to keep focused and carrying on plodding, we will get there.

Not alot to report today, couple of surveys done and scratchie done.
Work collegue gave me some Tesco extra points vouchers as she won't use them, did say to her that she could sell them on eBay, her response was '' can' be bothered'', oh well i can, might only get a couple of quid for them, but its a couple of quid off my debt.
