When else will we have weather like this for a BBQ? Take advantage, use your voucher, still spending less than what you would on gas as it's a voucher x

  • Well had a fab time at the cinema, we went to see diary of a wimpy kid 2, it was good but not as good as the first one, but kids really enjoyed it:), also bought juice and sweets from home bargains before going in, so total cinema spends £14.65 and then £2.50ish sweets/drinks.

Rang hubby before going to cinema to see if he fancied a BBQ, said yes and he would nip to farm shop to get some burgers, come out of cinema and have a text to let me know that parents in law are coming for tea, so hot foot it to Tesco for charcoal and some extra salad bits, ended up spending £23:eek: and forgot £10 giftcard:mad:, i am officially not going shopping know for at least 2 weeks as i have spent far far too much on groceries last few days.

Also postie brought me letter from Tax credits this morning to let me know we won't be getting anything for another year as we are still paying overpayments off :(.
  • Good morning and its another sunny one:), washing will be hung out again.

Forgot to mention yesterday that hubby recieved a new razor in the post to test:), so a few pennies saved there.

Also put some petrol in yesterday £15:mad:, hate buying petrol.

Have sent another £3.50 to !!!!!! card this morning, think that will be it for overpayments for the next week or so:(.

Taking kiddywinkles to the library this morning and then we WILL come straight home, no pottering in the shops and we don't need anything food wise so am determined that this weekend wil be a no spend weekend.

Hope you had a lovely bbq penny! Was such a gorgeous day yesterday! smiley_bbq.gif

Thanks for mentioning your Tax credits letter - I had totally forgotten about my renewal letter that is sitting on top of the microwave! Need to fill it in and send it away or they will stop my payments. I only get £40 a month but it's better in my pocket!

    Big hugs! hugs.gif

  • BBQ was lovely thanks and had 1 or 2 glasses of vino as well:D.

Yes get that tax credits sorted, £40 is better than a kick in the teeth.

    Have a good weekend.
  • Just been have a look on wynsors shoes website, been wanting a pair of canvas pumps for summer, saw a pair in Next but wasn't paying nearly £20 for a pair, anyway wynsors had some similar and they are currently half price so £4 a pair, decided i would get a white and a black pair, then remembered they sell there stuff through amazon, so nipped onto amazon(going through Nectar;)) and found them so ordered through amazon £8 for 2 pairs of pumps and delivery was £3.49, used a £10 voucher so only had to pay £1.49 in real money, bargain:D. at one time i would have ordered them throught the Next directory and paid interest as well as i would have just paid the minimum payment:o every month, how times have changed:).
  • Well its Sunday, how the week has flown by:(, today is a lazy day at home day, especially as it is chucking it down outside.

So lots of bitty things to do today, like wipe down doors, tidy papers away on desk etc, have already got the worst job out of the way cleaning the deep fat fryer and it really was yuck:eek:.

Have a few things to wack on ebay, but still to look through DD wardrobe, hoping to list at least 10 items, we will see how bored i become.

Nothing else to report, off to make OH some brekkie, poached eggs, yum yum.

    Hi Pennywise

My 2 love Diary of a Wimpy kid as well, DS has the books and DD is just starting to want to read them.
Your bbq sounds lovely, vino sounds lovely. We had Pimms and lemonade on Friday night whilst sat outside and it was lovely.

Yay to all those extra payments to Barclaycard, it all helps.

Your list of jobs sounds like mine but I'm putting mine off until after the exams are over. I've been using that excuse for months now its shame I'm not going to be able to use it for much longer:rotfl:

    Have a lovely Sunday xxx
