I bought 2 pints of double cream reduced to 16p per 1/2 pint pot yesterday - yeild 1 1/2 lbs fresh butter, easy as pie to make, shame cream isn't reduced like this more often....Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

Very Welcome
I made some too and made enough for 6 people... there were 3 of us and the dog only got a look in to lick the empty dish
The recipe I used was I think slightly different (and easy lol) - based on how my mum makes hers
Take spuds and Onions and peel and slice. put layer of potato, then onion and so on till near the top, finish with potato. Add generous knobs of butter on top and pour over cream, for a large dish which I usually use to make lasgana for 5-6 people I used about 2 normal sized cream tub things(not the tiny ones, the size up - sorry I have a cold and am not thinking straight...)
Cover with tin foil and stick in oven on about 190-200c for 45-50 mins - check to see if spuds are cooked, if they are soft then take the tin foil off and return for 10 mins to turn it all nice and brown on topOR 2 minutes under a HOT grill

I usually buy a few tubs of cream when they are down to 10p in my local Co-op. I whisk them up -stir in a tin of custard then in to the freezer. Icecream !!!:j0
