Tesco instore having reduced their own make slow cooker to a tenner for a 3.5 one, stainless steel with black inner crock, its the same as a Tower one

No, in my experience (and I've been using one for 20yrs) it does not "stink" the whole house out
It does impart a fragrant aroma - but no more than *any* method of cooking and far less in the base of BBQ's
Can't think why it would permeate the wardrobe
