You can all gang up on me as much as you like, seems the way of this forum.

A few of you here are a bit anal about consumer law, do you think the manager of Tesco's would have that sort of knowledge, I don't. It's well worth noting that you can negotiate all sorts of settlements without having to get so hung up on what has happened in the courts in the distant past. They maybe goodwill gestures, but at the end of the day, that doesn't matter as long as you are happy with the outcome.

You keep all having a go as much as you like, I only acted as I did because my opinions were being ridiculed when I know I have had so much success myself in the past. I am still sure that Tesco's would have honoured their offer if the TV had been new and the OP had approached it in the correct way.

Well fair play to Tescos. I had a phone call yesterday evening asking me to come and pick up our blu ray player yay! When we got to the store we were given a choice of samsung or Sony players. I am really chuffed and appreciate tescos did not have to do this. Thanks for all the advice peeps. And enough of the arguing already! :rotfl:
