Has any of you still got an open fire? we have but theres no back boiler so it just heats the one room .

A couple of years ago we decided to put a new fireplace in, downside was backboiler had to go. OK the water isn't heated (it wasn't linked to the rads) but as you say it only heats the one room but really nice and cosy.

On a serious note please take butterflymums advice and have chimneys and back boilers checked over if they have not been used in a while.

It could put you to sleep for good.
