Just phoned Bangor Fuels their advertised price on their web site this morning was 500 ltrs for £212 - so I phoned them to order and was told the price was £215, "the guy that does the web site wasnt in yet" - they wouldnt honour their price advertised. So I didnt buy, big thumbs down for Bangor Fuels - ordered from Boiler Juice instead £215.25 - plus possible discount during buying weekend.0

My parents were quoted one price from our regular supplier, when arived, they tried to stick an extra £10, they just said could get it cheaper elsewhere, and got for that price.
Only thing I don't like about boiler juice, you don't know what company your oil's coming from - could be any supplier0 -

How long can my oil boiler (MYSON, low power, I think) run with 500 litres if it opens 8 hours per day?
Thanks.0 -
Just rang around this morning for oil, 500l.
I live in Antrim
Stephen Morris £220
Richard Lee £225
Kelly Fuels £231
Redon £224
Riverside Oils quoted £235 but came down to £220 after a bit of haggling.
I had to order, down to the last inch:eek: .0 -
I found the posts on this thread very useful in my hunt for heating oil at the lowest price. I am posting my findings in the hope that it will help someone else.
I live in Bangor town centre and I ordered 900 litres of 28 second. I must say, all the people I spoke to on the phone were bright, friendly and very professional.
I settled for Clandeboye fuels as I have used them for my past 4 refills and they came joint cheapest with Bangor Fuels. I rang Maxoldirect but they came top at £407 - when I told the lady this she spoke to her supervisor who said they would match it but could not beat it. They just lost a potential new customer.
Clandeboye £373 (028 91478581) :T
Bangor £373 (028 91477795)
Ritchie £385 (028 91812608)
Hyland £385 (028 90483663)
Maxoldirect £407 (028n90848586) :mad:0 -

Just some companies can mix oil with other stuff. I just prefer to know what company I'm getting from and their reputation, that's all0 -

PLUS some companies have been known to deliver less than what is on the document stamped by the pump! Do Boilerjuice vet the suppliers or it it down to the % paid to Boilerjuice?Dave0 -
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how can you easily tell if you've been "short-oiled"?0
