    Just phoned round the ususal suspects and the prices are as follows;

    900 litres incl VAT

    Kane - £311
    Richie - £295
    Down - £302
    Nicholl - £297
    Bangor Fuels - £283
    Maxol - £307
    Clandeboye - £292

    Maxol gave me the ususal bull about being in Bangor and our prices are always cheaper but they would of course price match. I asked why she did not offer me her best price in the 1st place?? This peeves me off - why would I take the biz away from a small supplier who offered a good price in the 1st place?? Anyway, I told her this. :snow_grin
    So I am sure you have all guessed - I ordered thru Bangor Fuels who are delivering this afternoon. Good service or what??

    Yesterday Pattersons Oil was £298 for 900 litres and £459 for 1350 litres. It works out cheaper to buy 200 litres rather than 300 litres.
  • Folks
    Anyone know of a company who will do small amounts - say 200 litres - We're moving house soon and dont want to fill the tank up and get none of the benefit. Or whats the craic with emergency drums - any ideas on what they cost

    Phoned for 1000 ltres of oil yesterday for Nth down area

    Maxol direct £345
    Clandyeboye £310
    Pennisula £310
    Bangor Fuels £310

    Where as before I gave Maxol a chance to give the best price I decided this time that there quote of £345 clearly demonstrated that they are willing to rip customers off and from now on I am going with the local provider
