just bought 900L from maxol for £275... tried to get them down to 269 as simpson said he'd got that, but they were a bit sceptical, and wanted his name and who was the call agent... well of course as i didn't know his name i just had to bluff!
they said they couldn't do 269 but i still mananged to bring them down from £285 to £275 which was cheaper than anywhere else i looked (inc cheaperoil.com)0 -

We have a guy in work who has taken it upon himself to negotiate the best price for oil from several of the local suppliers. He approached the companies initially to get a good price for the members of his church but it wasn't a big enough pool of people. He then approached the rest of us in work ( about 500 employees) now he has a substantial pool with real buying power. The oil companies now phone him everyday and quote their best price.
When I hear a good price I'll post it here. I assure you it is accurate as a lot of people will be ordering at that price. His name by the way is Mr Morrow.Plenty of mistakes, but no regrets.0 -
Hi Folks,
I was on the bus on friday and we drove by a fuel place (near the Masonic hall) by Pitt Park on the lower Newtownards road, they had signs up outside that seemed to have obscenely good prices for home heating oil.
Now, is home heating oil reasonably standard or should this be a buyer beware issue (will their dodgy oil make my boiler blow up?).
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Any update on price of heating oil at the moment? Best I can get for 500litres is £170. I wonder if it is possible to get better than this.
Thanks,
