Grocery shop £32.76. I have spent most of the day getting the rest of the "stuff" shoved in the cellar by the builders almost everything made of cloth or paper has gone straight in the bin. I have found quite a lot of kitchen stuff that
I am pleased to see as well as finding the log basket. I have £57 left for the rest of the week. That looks ok I am having a quiet time as work is so busy.
I have made a fire it is blooming cold and miserable. night in watching a film in front of a roaring fire - lovely. make a note the chimney needs sweeping"....0 -
No spending day, oh what rare wonder. I spent much of the day playing with my overlocker ready to make up a dress that I cut out this morning, I think that I have worked out the simple stuff, probably enough to make the dress. Dinner at my brother's - lovely. Now on the train going back to London wishing that I didn't have to..........
I urgently need to find a craft fair to sort out the 150 tea cosies. I have promised to make two blinds for a friends flat, a general feeling is hanging about me that I must be mad. Still I am going to arizona for a week in November for work, what a treat.0 -
Coffee £2.20, sandwich and milk £3.48. I left my soup on the kitchen counter yesterday, most annoying I hate spending money on sandwiches, such a waste.0

I do that on a too frequent basis too toots. I keep some tahini/peanut butter and ryvitas at work just incase, although have eaten all of these now so need to restock. Any storecupboard emergency lunch ideas much appreciated.
Am thinking with the tea cosies maybe you could sell as job lot on etsy/ebay/to a homewares shop? You'd get less than £15 each but then not have as high overheads/need as much time to do a stall?Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Hi MW nice to see you. I am thinking of doing a stall for charity at work, a sort of in-house craft fair to get rid of a few and raise money for our link to a education centre in S Africa. I can probably sell quite a lot at work and then it wont be wasted effort. I am a boss they will have to buy a lovely hand crafted item, something that would grace any home!
Coffee £2.20, sandwich (oh yes I did it again) £3.25. Tomato soup for supper two days running.0 -
Coffee £2.20, Indian meal for two £4.99 (reduced from £7.99). A friend is coming round tomorrow for a take away but it has become an eat in she is very MSE so I know she wont mind!
I went to Tate Modern today to see Tacita Dean's film in the Turbine Hall it is absolutely wonderful, it made my whole week it is so good to see something so just delightful. Tomato soup for tea, it's a theme. I forgot my lunchtime soup for the third day running but I didn't buy a sandwich, I just couldn't bear it. Then my dear boss said let's have lunch at the Tate and he paid, super result. I am driving my cloleagues mad with my current general inconsistency so tonight I am reading up on brain food...................0 -

If you remember......;)A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Ain't that the truth!
Yesterday, coffee £2.20, bottle of wine £8.99. Had dinner at home with a friend which was lovely. This is a very quiet month to get my spending under control, pay off credit card debt as planned and get a few early nights so that I can concentrate on work - short time of boredom in order to get on track. It is rather dull but I am making progress so it is worth it. I am also determined not to be a penny overdrawn. I have to pay off £1500 for the next two months so that my 0% debt is paid off ready for a year of super organised, extremely timely mortgage pay off.0 -
Fruit and veg £10.48, breakfast with friends £6.15. It is the most glorious day I have been out in the garden and am spending my afternoon working on a dress I am making (have currently put the collar on the wrong way round so am having a coffee and calming down before taking it off and doing it again). I would like to wear the dress to work on Monday so I need to get a wiggle on.
Making celery soup and waiting for my niece to arrive with great tales of her first job. Still no stall to sell 150 tea cosies so a charity fair at work is looking more likely!0
