Oh rare day, today I spent £0. Weight Watchers points 35.
Lovely day today in the garden pootling around and it looks PERFECT. Would that the house was the same........... I am still getting things into the right rooms never mind unpacked. Tomorrow I am going to make more of an effort to get straight. I have guests coming in two weeks time it is hard to see that I will be sorted out by then. Still got no shelves, wardrobes or cupboards so it is likely to be a long term issue.0 -
Yesterday Weightwatchers point 35, spent £171.89.
I know, I know. Still one hardwood mini greenhouse later (50% off) I need to go away and re-group for the remainder of June where I seem to have £110 in the bank account and £100 in my pound coin stash and four weeks to go. I need a plan quickly.0 -
Saturday £11.98 fruit and veg, £6.35 bought coffee for good friends, WW points 34.
I thought I was getting somewhere in rationalising my unpacked boxes into the right rooms as well as amalgamating some so it looks like there is less cherished items/rubbish to deal with. That was before I looked at how much stuff has been dumped in the cellar, that will have to be tackled on the next rainy day, I don't want to waste the sunny ones in the cellar. All my washing is up to date and line dried, it smells lovely.
The one thing I seem to be in control of is WW I have stuck at 18.5 lbs loss for a few weeks and I ate everything in France including lots of cheese and wine which means that I may have put weight on so I am back on the wagon aiming to lose the next 18.5 lbs by the end of July, I am so inspired by Taxi she is doing brilliantly and we have a similar amount of weight to lose.
I am loving the summer, the garden and being in the house, my flat needs to go I do hope that it will sell. I am aiming to only have one property by the end of October.0 -
Sounds like you had a lovely time in France, and making progress with the house too.
Any progress with getting the flat on the market?
Living on your retirement income sounds like a very sensible idea. I shudder to think however about how small my pension is...Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
OPs 2011-2016 = £45K 2017 OPs = £9250.200 -
Spending £0, WW points 47.
Good day today, nice to see you MW. Got a lot tidied and sorted the house is looking a lot better.
I am on the train now ready for a week in London, it is an important couple of months which will be quite stressful so I need to be on top of everything. Also I need to make the targets that I have given myself personally and financially I am now on a count down with 23 months left to get everything in order: a car, my flat sold and my house fully renovated and turned into a proper grown up home. To be slimmer and fitter, and happier with myself and my life.
Target one is getting the flat finished and on the market, everything is cosmetic and do-able I just need to do it.........
So, flat fully renovated and on the market by the second week in July wish me luck.
Driving phobia gone and car purchased by the end of October.
House made into a home, room by room starting in January 2012 (13 rooms (including airing cupboard, 2 X halls, back kitchen, laundry as well as normal rooms). That looks like it needs to be one room a month for the whole year. I will have to do small cheap ones and then the big ones as and when.
52lbs in weight lost by January 2012.
Citing!

Go for it tootallulah!
Maybe you need a different method of saving? Perhaps, take your daily allowance of cash with you for the smaller bits and pieces but once it's gone, it's gone. Dunno. It might work. (Speaking as someone who just spent Sunday at the cinema and then having a lovely meal out instead of the no spend day that it was supposed to be!)Mortgage free plans on hold!
Renovation Dedication! That's what you need!0 -
Hello both, thanks for the emoticons GG they are brilliant. Oog you make a good point I was doing much better hen I took a £5 note with me every day and that was it, in those days I also tracked my daily spend on here which showed me to be eye wateringly profligate but it did help me not go too mad.
So with £5 in my pocket and a packed lunch in my bag I'm off to work, deep, deep joy.0 -
Good luck with the £5 plan

Goals for the coming months look great- we will all be cheering you on! (And if your up for a challenge Ill race ya re: decorating and getting flat on the market! hoping to do mine by first week in July !
