    Hi NSDers

NSD 10 :j for me today please spoon:):),

I have a question nsders.. do the days when direct debits come out of the account count as spending days? Or it only applies to the unplanned spends?

    Happy birthday Jinty and

wish you a speedy recovery Doraster.

The choice is yours as to what you include............there are some on here that have budgets for different things, eg petrol and groceries, and count anything other than that as a spend.

I personally do not count any direct debits or standing orders as spends. I include anything I pay for on a day-to-day basis such as groceries and anything I pay for with hard cash or my debit or credit cards.

For regular things I know I am going to have to pay for (karate/school dinners/school trips) I take out a cash amount at the beginning of every month to cover them and stick that away for when needed. If I have to pay out more than that amount then that would be classed as a spend.

However.........after saying that I am now looking at including ALL payments, HOWEVER they are made. I will be tracking all my DDs and SOs in July to see when they come out of my bank.......have just concerned myself that I actually have no idea when money comes out of my bank! I think I may only be left with about 6 days to organising my spending on! :( Targets will have to be lower I suspect to let me get the hang of it :) (More dancing smilies..........:D love it! ;))

Hope that makes things a bit clearer..............errrrrrrr..........reading this back maybe not!

    Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.

I see the Doctor has already been checking Stonehenge out. Party Pooper....he could have waited for us:rotfl:

aaargh, been running again, like a loon, been back to the shop for a FD card twice, believe it or not the first time I went back, I bought a paper and forgot the pesky card again, so I had to go back again.
So spendy two days for me.

Just off now to organise the herd for the journey south, Hubert is desparate to come, and the aliens think they will meet some pals who are landing later. I see the Doctor is there already, so should be a good party. Off to find the blue angel floaty thing, just getting Hubert to let me load the interactive whiteboard for the presentation, will need to plug into the Tardis with the straightners if that is OK.

Can you believe I haven't even had a drink, virtual or otherwise, that's what I missing, off for a Pimms.............

Happy Birthday Jinty, we might manage a wee chorus at Stonehenge...............

Loads of NSDs this month, well done everyone!! :T:T

Declaring today as NSD no 12 :j:j only 6 to go, with 13 days left in the month...should make it!! Make even extend my target too...we'll see how things pan out this week.

Had a couple of spendy days at the end of the week...including a trip to the butchers to get some lovely meat. DH wanted to eat in than eat out for Fathers Day...so got a beautiful rolled rib-roast, some fantastic sausages and bacon. Added the roast to the Meals-out pot, as it is a celebration meal, where we would otherwise have gone out. Is this cheating? Never done it before, but then, we haven't gone out for a meal as a family for ages either!! After all the meat cost waaaay less than a meal out...so costing us less in the long run!!

So the GC total hasn't gone up that much, but still well and truly over budget :o. The flour and dough enhancer still hasn't come from Claybrooke.. may have a go at some white bread tomorrow, have just enough flour for a few rolls, bought a couple of whoopsied loaves on Friday to keep us going next week. Don't see the point in buying more flour when there so soooo much on order!!

Woohoo, Scotland have yet again beaten Argentina (rugby)...fantastic news!!! England managed to beat Australia too, (by one point!)...but poor Wales got hammered... yet another great rugby day! Managed to see some of the matches at my sis's...the footie was the sport of choice in her house, but sneaked over to watch the rugger every so often...it was soooo quiet without those voo-voo whatsits!! :D

So where are you all...hiding behind the stones, or still watching the power-point presentation, sorry, can't remember who was giving it!!!

Have brought the Easter eggs we got from my sis...we didn't get to see each other on Easter Sunday in the end, so we exchanged eggs today :rotfl:

    Chocolate anyone?? :EasterBun
