Waiting in for my shiny new laptop to arrive, the rest off the day will be spent setting it up! Wish me luck!

Well I spoke too soon - laptop arrived at @ 12,spent about an hour onto Talk talk trying to get my wireless conection uo and running then it was all going ok until about 4 ish when the screen started flashing and doing all sorts of weird things. Ended up phoning HP helpline where after trying all sorts of fixes, the guy confirmed that it was a hard drive fault and I should return it to the company I bought it from. :mad:I then had to phone the catalogue company and report the fault and request a return. I am using my "old " laptop which seems to be going ok despite last weeks probs.
So the shiny new one is going back:mad: and I'll wait till I see a credit on my account before reordering.
I am v fed up - sick of looking at a screen and hanging on a phone esp when it was so lovely outside. Had to have some emergency chocolate to get me through the trauma!:rotfl:

Sorry for the rant! CU tomorrow;)

LOL poor you,0002031F.gif Reminded me of the bars of emergency chocolate that you can get in Sainsbury. More expensive than normal choc but has a wrapper that tells you it's for emergencies. Who says marketing in this country has gone mad....

  • No NSD yesterday as it was shopping time again. DH and DC left at home so it was cheaper then normal (was a bit naughty though as George tempted me yet again to part with my money. Will be updating on the crazy clothes challenge)

    Today was NSD 13 :T.

Off to get a cuppa before the second half of that sporty thing they're showing on the telly starts :footie::footie::footie::footie::footie: Not sure why I'm bothering though :)

Hi Fi76, it can be a little hard at first whilst you discover what works best for you and your family, hang in there and you'll soon be clocking up NSD's. From what I've experienced with the Grocery Challenge, Meal Plans and other such challenges its swings and roundabouts, sometimes you hit your target and other times life throws stuff at you and it all goes to pot. The important thing is if it doesn't work out this month to get back in the saddle and try again next month, you've already had 3 NSD's had you not been tracking you may not have got these so that's a huge achievement. Everyone on this thread is helpful and supportive and will I'm sure follow on and give you their nuggets of wisdom. I just wanted to say well done for your 3 NSD's and for you to keep trying. Have a lovely early fathers day tomorrow with your OH.

As for me Spoon, get that Pony fired up as
I'ma claimin him, yes gentle folk I managed my NSD number 14!!! DH requested we didn't go out for a meal but I cooked him 'something nice' and we stayed in and had a bottle of wine (already had everything in so no spend YIPPEE!) I only have 9 days left to pay day so I'd like to go for a banana by extending my total to 18 please I didn't think I'd make it until early next week but I diddance4.gif

had to get on tube today but money was on my Oyster card. Does this count? if so, yesterday was NSD :) Advice welcome on this.
    Hi rentawitch...
bit confused... you put money on your Oyster card before today, I guess? If you counted that as a spend day (and I think you did, from memory), then provided you didn't spend anything further today the this would be an NSD as far as I can see....

Have I missed something blindingly obvious here (I have had a glass or two of wine to numb the memory of that dreadful football match so that's quite possible...)

Let me know what you decide to do.
