BOB'S CUNNING PLAN 2- 'Cos the other one failed and i blame Baldrick

Hi folks- just a quick update.
DD2 ended up being poorly again overnight and went back on drips- she had a really high temp yesterday and today we should have blood test results.
I am feeling better at least so that is good as i hated having to stay away from her.
My grandma also had a fall last night and i am on the emergency call list, so had to go over there late last night to help her out. Some days i could just cry with it all.
I have not gone into work today as i just couldn't concentrate, plus i need energy when i am dealing with some of the children i deal with- today is usually my worst day for that.
Moneysavings wise not so good- those tv things cost a fortune in hospitalI have managed to get a 6 day package for £15 but we were only told about the 3 day one before, so i can feel a letter of complaint going in bloomin rip off.

Poor thing
Try not to worry about the money too much at the moment, it's really out of your control. I can't believe they charge so much for TV in hospitals!

Sorry to hear that things aren't going well at the moment, pleased to hear you're feeling a bit better, it's difficult to cope with situations like this at the best of times without feeling ill yourself too, especially with not having been able to see your DD too.
Hope things start to improve soon.0 -
sorry to hear things are so rough for you..hope dd and gran get better soon xxx the blood results may at least shed some light on what is wrong with DD0

Thanks Guys- well we are no further forward with the blood tests. They have shown nothing specific causing things, which means the kidney infection has cleared up at least
And that in itself is good news as there is nothing more serious- which is a relief. Still frustrating though and worrying.
She is looking a lot better this afternoon, so trying her off the drip and sliding scale insulin tonight- we will know in the morning if it has worked. Her consultant is back now, so things are moving forward- but we may not know the reasons why this has happened. Just one of those things.
The other side of things is that she has decided to defer her Uni course until next year. I can understand why, the lecture times are late 4-8pm and she was struggling to manage, in terms of eating and insulin and staying in lecture.. although i suspect a lot of it could have been what she has been going through with her health.
Student finance have once more cocked things up and i think that was the final straw really. I think given her health at the moment it is the right decision, she needs a bit of time to get over this and get herself right.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well not so good again today. She reacted badly when they took her off the drip again.:o So she had sky high temp, was vomiting again and went back on drip. They tried different antibiotics, was allergic to them and the whole process started again.
Found out though that they didn't do any blood cultures ( cover your ears %%%&***F****) so they have been done, as they have now decided we were right and that there is an underlying infection that they haven't found and normal bloodwork is not showing this:wall::wall::wall:
This afternoon she has been written up for different antibiotics and was sleepy again.
It is so frustrating seeing her go through this, i hope something positive comes out of it and they do get sorted fairly quickly as i am........ well any parent will tell you how i feel.
Spends have been on shopping and petrol, so that is £70 today.
Fingers crossed that she is slightly better this evening.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
