So sorry that DD is so unwell and that you are all having to go through this - at least she is deferring at the start of the year - imagine if she was part way through the year and then couldn't keep going with it, so I think it is better this way (although, of course not ideal at all).

I'm not yet in arris kicking mode ;) but this is the sort of time that will inspire you to get running over the coming months.

Awww - sorry to hear she's still so poorly Bob. Definitely the right decision to defer though, and as Hypno says it's the right time to be doing it if that's what needs to happen.

Those were our thoughts too Hypno, i saw how much she struggled the first week, just exhausting herself from going in.:o I do think she is a very strong character though, to have gone in like that anyway. She didn't really get a lot of support from Uni and she was sensible to ask about the late night lectures- anyways that is by the by now.

    So update:

Another set of antibiotics were ordered due to allergic reaction - these have helped and her temperature is now back down.

She is surrounded by older and very caring ladies on her ward, she has become a bit of a pet project for them and so they are helping each other:D They may not know about Kerrang, but some of them have rather nice grandson's so DD2 has perked up a bit in that respect..:rotfl:

Mr.B managed to bring the wrong clothes in for this afternoon- apparently he went into a bag she has decluttered from her wardrobe( as being too small or scruffy) so decent stuff brought in this evening. Simple things like new toothpaste, nice soaps and a new cream to massage into her legs( circulation when sat there) has all brought a nice smile on her face. I left after re visiting my hair dressing skills and i quite enjoyed her being my little girl once again.

So a positive end to the visit and it is lovely to see her smile.:D

It's good news that she's perking up, and your last post seemed more positive too. Another one here that thinks defering the year was the best idea in the circumstances.

Like others have said do look after yourself, you've not been well either, and the hospital trips and stress do wear you down.
