It does affect him, as he withdraws into himself-then sulks. His pattern of behaviour is predictable, i think he made the grand effort and that is his answer to it all.

I mean it doesn't affect him long-term. He has tears before bedtime, and then tomorrow Mummy has made it all better.
He knows i will make sure stuff is paid- so it will be a shock to him to now find a new DDebit set up to pay the mortgage. I will put exactly half in and it will go out as soon as he is paid.

The DD should help a little with the finances, but not as much as the basic bank account will...

That's why i go AWOL at times, because i struggle with it and feel very negative about it all- Sometimes you can cut the atmosphere in here with a knife, lasted about 7 months last time, making it so i only sorted out the mortgage etc on the understanding he sorted out himself, drove myself stupid driving over Lancashire for my job, took on extra work, sorted out the house( dd1 and ds 2 do help), overpaid where i could- and everyone commented how bad he looked. While in the meantime i got it in the neck off DD1 for not sorting it. Can't win sometimes.:o

I need something good from the universe i think. Will get my thinking cap on with that.

I have the reserves to get things sorted and will be doing my upmost to clear off the joint debt which is my original plan. That will reduce outgoings by a significant amount and i will then be able to move forwards with a lot of things. That is my immediate goal and will remain focused on that for the moment.

Well that and student finance for DD2:mad:

  • Feeling absolutely shattered today- hardly slept at all last night.

Dental checks for DD2 and i this am. Then spent on essential toiletries for her, so today's spends came to about £50:eek: £33 for dental checks and the rest on essentials and a few groceries:o

I did think she was still entitled to free dental check ups-but apparently not. As a diabetic she gets free prescriptions and eye tests. She was a bit shocked as well. Two mins we were in there:o

So plan this afternoon is to finish off dusting and sorting hall and landing out in prep for painting bannisters.

Have to sort out what i want to do with my back garden, so will be looking at ways to do that as cheaply as possible, starting with a good decluttering of the that.

Have a bit of planning to do for the new term and reading up and that's about it really.

Mr.B has gone to work, but didn't see him this am.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi Bob :grouphug: Sorry things seem to have taken a step back with Mr B, it sounds like such a struggle.

That's a lot for the dentist (not that I've been for years :o)

I thought that dd2 ed still in education? Therefor free dentist ? Or is that just for the non-contributing members of society (and offspring ).
Or does it depend on the Dentist and the price of Mercedes ?

I thought so to Pepe- She has left college and starts Uni in September-so the answer was no :( I am going to check with NHS - have had a look at a few links, but i am sure one of her conditions (she also has Hirschprung's disease) means that she will need teeth checks. Just want to make sure for the future, as this could affect things for her-but it is the only thing she will have to pay for by the look of it. So not all bad.:D

I'm surprised that you had to pay just because she was inbetween college and Uni.. I suppose unless you can prove she is in education at that point though...

ps when you get a mo can you send me those links you mentioned, I am all signed up to my course now :)

    Nope- you can't get it

As a diabetic it shows what help she can get-surprising isn't it?

Have just spoken to a chap on the phone and he is sending me a form out-which only goes on income- not medical needs. So if any parents out there need help that is the place to go to and it is a shocker, as we are liable for her financially until she starts Uni-and then some..lol:eek:

With the links i am having trouble-but will format them in the right way. I will get them to you ASAP.
