Glad the lappy is back-:D It is like losing an arm:D:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Some good refunds there BOB...it's amazing how they all mount up.
It is Taxi and some further good news- is that Mr.B has finally got his bonus ( well in next months paypacket) :j Overdraft is nearly gone then, or will be when it comes in:D
Thank you Universe:D:D:D:D:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well today as mentioned-Mr.B got news of his bonus finally coming in.
That will pay off most of the main overdraft, bar £500, which has been a long time coming. I can live with that for the moment.
I had my gas bill this am- and rang up to increase my DD payment for winter-I know unheard of, but i don't want to get behind and as the payment covers everything at the moment then it is wiser to do so. Currently £30 a month for gas and electric, which will go up to £60 for both- yes i am that tight with it:D:rotfl:
I will be making sure the useage is good over the winter months-so they have been warned.:D
Other than that i have visited gran-who is getting quite disheveled lately:o She is a heavy smoker, her face, clothes and hands are badly stained. She fell the other night again and couldn't get up:o Luckily no damage, other than a strained thumb. She didn't press her button until 3 hours later-:o:oAt 94 i think we really should be making a concerted effort to get her in somewhere-but neither she, nor my uncles will hear of it. Makes me sooo:mad: It is a health hazard being in the flat as the smell of smoke is so ingrained that it seeps through your clothes. Wish we could sort it out for her.
Then i came back and after showering got on with operation "clean the mucky oven out", then i cleaned the carpet again- just to get the last of the stains out( mum spilled coffee). Still needs another go though and that is despite, scrubbing and whatnot.:o
Am sitting down for a bit now- as am pooped.
No shred today, as yet. Will do later- but weight has gone down by half a pound and another half an inch off hips:D
Have a good day. Bob xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

good news on bonus and weightloss and nearly clearing overdraft.
Sorry to hear about your gran...can't blame her not wanting to go in a home at 94 though...it'll probably be the death of her if she is so against it.
your gas and electric are cheap even when £60 p/m0 -

I don't blame her either Taxi, but there is no proper care in place. My uncle just gives into her-he is in his 70's though, and her other carer well cook and cleaner is 76. I have asked my mum to get onto them, which she does, but gets told to but out ( mum, regularly looked after gran before she moved to Morecambe, uncles never bothered before that) We had to get her into hospital last time and i just want to know she is safe.
He has just gone away for weekend and not told the rest of us, found out off gran today. It is little things like that which worry me.:o
I try hard with gas and electric, we live in a three bedroomed house, so normal useage for a family of four and assorted guests. Washing machine on about 3 times a day, tv blasting away and of course the internet. I don't have double glazing- i would live in an igloo- it has to be really cold for me to feel it. Mr.B easily feels cold though as do DD1.Thankfully she lives down south now-and the other two love moneysaving as much as me..lolBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

It must be a worry over your gran and can understand your concerns...is she stubborn like you?
Can't get over how little your bills are I pay £93.50 p/m for a 2 bed house.0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Maybe i am stubborn like her- the Bobette's have nicknamed me Aunty Wainwright-or when in cleaning mode, Hetty Wainthrop as i detect any dirt going..lol:rotfl:
Ours is a 3 bed terraced. I just swapped everything for energy saving re the bulbs, and turn off everything at night except fridge freezer. I just kept going and working with what we have, no one goes cold, or does without any of the mod cons or anything. I have a drier too-but tend to use that to finish off things, and hang washing out on the line.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Feel for you regarding your gran. My mum is also a heavy smoker and I know what you mean about the smell seeping into your clothes. Its not easy looking after the fossils.
