My ds was 25 last week  - and still can't drive ! Have offered many times over the years to pay for lessons - even saved tesco vouchers for it - to no avail

No Zed - he hasn't lived at home since he went off to Uni 7 years ago. He lives in Manc city centre so easier for him to use trams, buses trains etc.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

When he was 17 we bought his provisional as part of his pressie. At 18 he had a lump sum of money for driving lessons, and used it was paying for extra and then stopped. He needs to take his theory and a few top up lessons. He should be ok and it is something he wants to do- just wish he would get on with it.
Mr.B's brother never took his driving test and he is 47 now! Some peeps just don't want to and i suppose with rising costs it isn't an easy option either.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well unless he moves out of a city centre, he may never learn to drive. Having said that, I know someone who learned to drive in his mid thirties - but he was moved out of the city centre by work.

Many thanks Squizz
Well not a lot to report in the land of Bob today-except CHB backdated money and paid it in-just in the nick of time really
Pay day is in two days time- and i have some decisions to make. A lot to pay out and a lot to budget for. What is it about August? damned if you do and damned if you don't
Right -pen paper and calculator is needed methinks.
Tea is a frugal one, found some chicken thighs in freezer, so that along with new potatoes and veg is tea. Followed by fruit pud and scones if needed for fill ups.
Loaf is a baking, i like fresh bread and have frozen new loaves, but just prefer the bread maker. I Love it
Shred is done.:)
Had a lovely chat with DD1 today and the lovely Elantan-so i am a lucky girl. Plans are afoot for WHW-hence mucho budgeting and i have also to budget for guide trips-petrol, and DD2's travel, books and whatnot until student loans kick in so i am grateful for the CHB back pay.
Have a good day everyone. Bob xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
