the thing is your daughter is very aware of her body (i remember talking to her about this all) i think it is more the nature of the booger that is diabetes for her ... its really annoying as well ... i know some people that are diabetic and sit and drink ginger eat crap dont excercise and yet seem to be fine ... and yet other people look after their health and have to deal with that crap
Yes she is aware, i suppose i am kicking myself for not spotting things quickly enough myself:o She was tired in the afternoon and had been off food for a couple of days. There were a few signs that i should have been more aware of myself- when she isn't -because sometimes she isn't aware of symptoms and that is part and parcel of being diabetic. It is a !!!!!! disease and she is doing all the right things and having a life- enjoying meeting friends and finding her feet and identity. So at the end of the day we move forward and put a little marker on the learning curve for future reference. And as i say- although folks don't realise it they all help- that conversation yesterday opened my eyes and suddenly everything clicked in. Wonderful bunch that they are.:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

thats great bob am glad you got some support and advice as well ... its funny how we miss some signals that we would automatically notice if it were someone else ... i'm sure though that an anchor has been planted in your head now and it wont happen again ... i remember doing my first aid training and diabetes was one of the things they went on and on about ...i'm glad they did ... i knew what they were saying ... but it was good to get it drummed into me again0

That's the weird thing El, DD and i have both read loads on the subject. Just goes to show- we think we have a handle on things and whooosh- legs get kicked from under us.:o
Am a bit cream crackered tonight as hardly slept at all last night:o Which is not unusual in itself, but i am emotionally wrung out today. Was sobbing near enough in the Chapel and thinking about DT as well. Our problems don't begin to compare though.:oBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Sorry forgot to update.
DD is back home now and is a bit washed out, but enjoying being spoiled and hanging around on Face book all day. lol
Am managing to keep working around it all- and luckily i finish on Tuesday
Washing machine playing up again-but was fixed under warranty. Then i find that the toilet has been leaking and so has the radiator in the bathroom- so money needs to be spent there.
I did go and get my hair done again today as wellI have decided that this will be my treat- i don't do much else
so i am putting monies aside from MSing and quidco in a separate account for it
I do need to get some new clothes as well at some point but will see how much plumbing is going to cost- if i can't repair it myself that is.
I have decided to join a few challenges as well- one of which is to start running again- or in my case a fast wibbleit will go alongside the walking in my efforts to get fit and also to knock a couple of things off the bucket list
Money wise- all is quite good at the moment. The end of the month will bring about a few things- as in i don't get paid over the summer from one job, but do in the other.
Still undecided about anniversary- i don't want to do anything at all for it- other than the obligatory meal and i would like family at that. I can cope with that.
So that is about it- am just off to do my French homework- i have a pupil who wants to do a little story in French. I will be struggling but will give it a go. lol
