Garlic pamesan croutons
Cut bread into 1cm squares. Put in a lidded box with olive oil, crushed garlic, and finely grated parmesan. Shake vigorously until well mixed. Put onto an oven tray and cook at gas 5 for 15 mins, or until crisp.

The crusts are THE best for toast, the thicker the better! and we always fight for the crusts in this house“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Hi Thriftlady,
I've just looked at the French recipe site and there are some cracking recipes. To help translate here is a great dictionary site.

Whenever bread is beginning to get a bit stale or any unused crusts make great french toast, just beat together eggs and a bit of milk and a teaspoon of caster sugar if you like it a bit sweeter, soak the bread in it and fry in a small amount of butter, the kids love this and it makes a quick lunch, you can freeze the bread for when you want it also or as in our case family of 6, you need a few days scraps of bread to make enough!0
