You cannot compare Panasonic and Samsung. That's like comparing a Volvo to a Kia car. Panasonic good but overpriced, Kia not the highest quality. How about LG, Toshiba or Sony?
Hi thanks! we always hear that Panasonic are the best but just preffered the samsung although looking at it again yesterday i flitted back to the Panasonic!!..we currently have an LG and love it BUT we had huuuge issues with them in regards to something else and i said i was boycotting them!0 -

Its only plasma fanboys that say Panasonics are 'the' best
May I ask what the 'huuuge' issue was with LG?:idea:0 -

bought our 50" LG plasma from Dixons online and were made up with it
We got our current (LG 32") from Currys and stuck it in the back of the car so no delivery costs anyway although was wary of damaging it! We got our dishwasher from Dixons and were very good but we are hoping to get from an independant shop as have agreed to match/beat the price we find.
Thanks x0 -

Do you have any idea of the average difference [ % ] in weight size for size twixt plasma's & LCD's ?Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. As has already been noted , the Panasonic LCD is full HD and also has a Freeview HD tuner , the plasma has neither. If you really like the Samsung the 40" version can be found for well under £500 with a little searching. A few weeks ago it was down to around £430 but has slightly risen in price lately.0

If I had to choose between Samsung and Panasonic, I'd definitely choose the Panasonic. Or Sony if the choice was there. But not LG!
Not quite sure if this holds true but apparently plasma needs to be about 42" (or some other measurement) to have any benefit - or shops say.
The LED one does have freesat HD which seems to be good but a box attachment could do the same...0
