So we have spent aages deciding on a bigger one for the lounge, based on one we have at my work as really like it and it gets good reviews from customers and seems good pic to me! (Panansonic)..but we went into our local shop who supplied it and the bloke said if we waited the new one would be out which was better and cheaper..this threw us so we have held off for the time being as i am swaying as to whether i like it enough!

Anyway the original one was one of these and im not sure which:
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/panasonic-viera-tx-l37g10-37-full-hd-lcd-tv-02575063-pdt.html
OR
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/panasonic-viera-tx-p37x20b-37-hd-ready-plasma-tv-04810378-pdt.html

The one the man said to wait for was a Panasonic but a plasma as opposed to an LCD..not sure on whats better either!

Then saw this yesterday which i love but can't find any reviews:
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/samsung-le37c530-37-full-hd-lcd-tv-05037928-pdt.html

They are all around the £500+ mark but refuse to buy from Currys unless cheaper than anywhere else so help!

Thanks and if anyone has any of the above id'e love to hear your views.

The second one is HD ready, whilst the other two are full HD, not as you would notice much difference with a 37" screen.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

You cannot compare Panasonic and Samsung. That's like comparing a Volvo to a Kia car. Panasonic good but overpriced, Kia not the highest quality. How about LG, Toshiba or Sony?
A fool may give advice but the one who takes it is the bigger fool.

Strange that the Kia has a 7 year warranty and the Volvo has only 3 years warranty.;)

Check out sites like test freaks for technical comparison, not just prices.
That is not a recommendation for test freaks, just an example of one of many that can be found.
I think you do a wonderful task aliEnRIK, an expert in so many fields and yet you devote so much time to imparting your knowledge on this site. Of course I bow to your superior intellect and like others before shall no longer bother passing on my experiences or pathetic opinions. While the Techies page has you there is no need for any other is there. I have not amidst your many posts seen much in the way of evidential data, merely your opinion and frequent quotes of what "tests" show. Perhaps you might enlighten us with where you get your information.

Well thank you very muchly :p

I frequent lots of different sites for various snipets of information, but for tvs I usually use HDTVTEST as they perform proper calibrations too (As I do myself)
    For example ~

What that review doesn't tell you is just how dire the picture is on that model when viewing SD. Its bad to the point that I can't watch it on my mates telly.
